Perhaps the media will now stop hyping up how good our players are as it's clear to see that without the foreign technically gifted players playing alongside them they are no more than average, if that !

Utter failure from this bunch. Should've been bright and been looking forward to something new. What a let down. Absolutely no idea what we're doing with the ball.. Poor passes. Poor control. No finish.

Thank goodness that is over. A diabolical performance. Absolutely piss poor. Go away England. Maybe start your own competition.

They can put the highlights on during the commercial break and have a commercial break in the middle of them!

The worst tournament defeat in my lifetime, Portugal in 86 was a shocker but this was disgusting.

Roy losing his job is letting him off too easy. He should be made to watch that match every day for the rest of his life.

Never has the term 'poor performance' been such an understatement. Ashamed...for the second time in 4 days.

Should be ****ing guillotined for treason. If we are so intent on going back to the colonial /medieval days in this country then why not.

Would suggest the players should as they have significantly failed to show any commitment passion or skill. Easy to blame the Manager but that lot of over paid primal donnas are, in reality, the reason we are out

At least we lost to decent sides in Brazil, Iceland worked well as a team but they are average.

I love Iceland. A beautiful fascinating country with nice hospitable people.
Bloody good luck to them. Those players were proud to play for their country. Our overpaid crap deserved nothing. A disgrace!

I do not wish to see any of these overpaid, out-of-touch, bottling prima donnas for a very long time, if ever. Not in the faintest bit interested at all in watching the over-hyped, profiteering circus that mascarades as our top division. I will not watch this sh1te next season. Bring on the Championship, as soon as possible please. Honest pros giving it their best.

tbf Rooney was by far the best player in the 3 games prior but his passing tonight was worse than a 2 year old..

I am almost lost for words. I believe we've hit a new low, and one for which the manager takes huge responsibility. Shockingly naive team selection, lacking any midfield coherence or defensive capability and then promptly made worse by persisting with players clearly performing poorly and out of position, making us narrower (if that was possible) and even more easy to defend against. The fact Iceland didn't have to play that well to comfortably contain us is scandalous.

I'd like to see stats for wilshere in this tournament. Has he passed the ball to another England player?
