We'll be fit, maybe a bit match rusty. We were flying before the covid enforced break with no fit strikers. I understand we have players back to fitness now so should be able to field a strongish team .
Also, if you pay on the day then BFC will still give you TAPs. No excuses now!

3000 to all away games? You brought 2000 to Stoke and took less than that to Brighton recently.
As for selling out when you were a l2 side you're living in could cuckoo land. You are a premiership side on merit but not an attractive proposition to many. If we had drawn a bigger premiership side we'd have sold out like we always did in the past and a sellout to us is 20,000 with a full away end.
Vale Season ticket holders have until today to reserve their seats and many of us have waited to make sure its on after a month of postonements.
I'm not comparing us to you now, but it isn't that long ago we outnumbered you at the LDV final and were better supported in the league. If you are coming up tomorrow enjoy your day.

Brighton was at 8pm on Boxing Day with no trains running at a ground deliberately designed to be very difficult to get to other than by public transport. Half of Brighton’s own fans decided to stay at home and watch on telly. 2000 for a midweek cup game was a decent away turnout when Stoke themselves had shut one of their stands. But it’s true Vale isn’t the biggest draw just as we aren’t for you.

I didn't say 2000 to Stoke was poor, it was a cracking turnout for a midweek game. I also understand the logistical problems for the Brighton game.
But the boast was you have taken 3000 everywhere when you clearly haven't.
I also fully understand we wont be attractive opposition for you when compared to who you are playing every week.

The reality is that we have quite a large number of fans who have moved away from the area, due to the high cost of living around London and also because of the lack of any success/ambition for 60 odd years. So they become less regular, but still support the club. This is why we tend to get good numbers for big games.

Surprised to see Steve Mildenhall on the bench for Swindon and even more surprised he’s only 43 as it seems forever ago that he played against us and was quite a senior player then. Also subject of one of the best impromptu Bees chants -“You’re just an airbase in Suffolk”.

Remember going to Vale a couple of times in the early 2000's, both 1-0 defeats and Stuart Nelson making an absolute clanger (big surprise, right?) in one of them.
Also remember a travesty of a penalty being given to PV when one of their forwards smashed the ball at our defenders arm from half a yard away, think it was live on Sky.
Which makes me nervous about this afternoon....

The game I think you refer to re Stuart Nelson howler was also on TV I think.
I recall so many Port Vale defeats in the 80s and 90s. The year they got promoted from the 3rd tier they played us off the park at GP in the early days of Dave Webb. The awful John Cornwall made his debut that day along with another ex Southend player - someone correct me or confirm but it might have been Steve Tillson
