With our easy-peasy 4th Round tie being a virtual bye I'm excitedly looking forward to the 5th Round.
A bit surprised it's on a Wednesday but isn't it nice of the FA to give us another evening game at GP?

It was intended as a thinly veiled, jokey, way of highlighting how little even the FA think of the FA Cup by playing a round midweek rather than messing with the Premier League on the W/E.
Disgraceful IMHO and a sign of why (so-called) top-class football is a shadow of it's former glory and rapidy disappearing up it's own backside.

Don't think there are any Premier League games at the weekend, they're supposed to be on a mid-season break

Don't worry about it. I wasn't being horrible or rude or anything and should have put a smiley face on my post.
There will be folk who will not want to be in the 5th round because they will not like it. Too many games too much to cope with too much too much.
If we reach the 6th round then Reading gets rearranged for midweek.
I am not even looking at the Semi finals.

The PL midwinter break is
Either Feb 2nd to Feb 15th or
Feb 9th to Feb 22nd

Half clubs play Sat 8 Feb
Rest play Sat 15 Feb
So there is a break
But Sky can show games every week !!

The consequence is FA Cup R5 moved to midweek

Never mind the 5th round....when we get to the final, if the cup run has seen us falter (only) slightly in the league we will have to go through the play offs

I think the Championship Play Off Would be moved

It COULD have happened once quite recently I think as the FA Cup Final was same weekend in 2017
