The video is awful......
Well, the fact RWB put about 10 adverts into the Youtube video before the highlights even begin.
Anyway, the Brentford goal was, in my opinion, very good. Well executed high ball through to the scorer, who controlled it very well, who took a couple of touches before slotting past the keeper.
Our keeper giving away a needless penalty. Yes go shut them down, but to lunge in when the ball is nearly out of play... Hopefully she will learn from that.
Before this though, considering the video is done by RWB, it seems Brentford were all over them.
And the controversial goal disallowed... VERY controversial.
Corner whipped in. Headed down towards goal where the Brentford right back latches on to the loose ball before the keeper who, badly, tries to kick the ball away and miss kicked it. The right back falls on the ball but at the same time carries it over the line. The referee could not have seen any foul, the video didn't show any foul. In fact, the referee looks over at the assistant and somehow gives a foul. Not sure if the assistant gives one but if so, I'd be fuming with my assistant if he did give one considering the crowded area and how close I would have been.

Can only think of two reasons why this goal was disallowed, either our right back was deamed to be obstructing the keeper when she fell or that the ball touched her arm when she fell.

A strang decision denying what would have been an even stranger goal.

The kits looked old... Our ladies, representing our club should be in the latest kit. Hopefully its just a supply issue

Oh i get the possible handball, really hard to see in the video if it does touch a hand but considering the position of the referee too he would have been very hard fetched to see it hit a hand AND be sure it wasn't already over the line.
She didnt obstruct the keeper. In fact, the keeper fouled her by pulling her back and in effect to the floor with her losing her balance.
But its immaterial now. Brentford went on to win anyway.

That was Molly O'Reilly with the pass and then decent pen. Used to play with my daughter. Very tidy player who has played at a much higher level. Still only 18, I think.
Used to teach Molly. Lovely girl and had a lot of banter with her az she said she was a Ra Ra supporter. Always mad keen on football and sport in general.

:sorted: Yep, Rangers family, even though they live in Brentford, I think.
