Today’s goal versus Barnsley was timed at 59 seconds but I seem to recall over the last five years we’ve shipped a few under a minute. So what’s the quickest goal Brentford have conceded?

Ipswich at home on Boxing Day a few years back, surely that can’t be beaten?

12 seconds wasn't it ?

19 seconds

Brentford began the day in third but fell behind to Murphy's first goal, which, at 19 seconds, was the quickest in the Championship so far this season.

We conceded v Swansea last season early goals but nothing so far beats 15 seconds.

At GP Swansea scored after 33 seconds.
At Liberty Swansea scored after 32 seconds.

I seem to recall Daniel Johnson of Preston scoring in the first minute in the 15/16 season home match.

Thanks all - seems to back up that there has been a glut of these sub-60 second goals conceded in the past four years. Thanks to Wanderer for pointing out the record.

Well they're all my answers gone! lol We do have a habit of conceding very early but rarely get a first minute goal. Yesterday it was within a minute of the second half, but don't remember many first half ones in our favour.

We scored one against Oldham midweek in Rosler's first season after about 30 seconds, in a 2-0 win. I think it was Bean...

Charlton at home about 3 seasons back.

Going back to about 1972, Northampton at home. We ended up winning 6-1, my second ever Bees game

Perhaps we can amend the thread title to include fastest goals scored? Tony Sealy (13 sec) v Bristol City in 1989 is our quickest at home.

I know it sort of doesnt count - but surely the quickest between goals (potentially ever in real time) was Prestons equaliser and Evans from the half way line - must of been about 4/5 seconds?

Or the Carlisle own goal from the kick off in the late 90s.

missed it, wasn't watching - i was 16 at the time and we had a teacher at school who was a Preston fan - we spotted him and he us, so when PNE equalised he was giving it all sorts to us in Hate Corner. and i was giving it back and then......... :homer:
