"The highlight of which was someone being so drunk that his mate had to give him a firemans lift home – well I think it was his mate anyway – who knows."

It's always the details that make it for me....

It gets me everytime but the thought of FJ in full casualness ahead mode walking his dogs whilst the rest of the gpg sleeps, madness, the lengths this man goes to make sure his dogs stretch their legs deserves applause!

I looked up Barking station. Whilst architectural significant it had an acid attack, knife assault and a male rape in just a few second of searching!

Personally, I think @Fleet John is getting a bit tardy on his timeliness of these write-ups. Haven't had Liverpool yet, and that was weeks ago!

We have been to Malaga since then..........I reckon the next big one will come after the TW8 Burnley/Blackpool weekender......will bee worth the wait......and will include the Lushman's return to English football away day/weekenders.............!!!

Are there not some starting the Blackpool weekender straight after the Stoke cup game?

Not sure if John and co were in Stoke but I enjoyed my visit to Jay's cafe this morning, I was happy to have checked out the local cafe rather than the spoons at the end of the street.

My choice of the small breakfast with added black pudding was perfectly sized for me, not having the stomach for a giant breakfast at the moment. I wonder which menu option would have appealed for starting (or finishing) an away day... Anyone for an oatcake?

When in Stoke surely you have to have an oatcake (iirc with bacon and “chayze” is the locals’ preference).

You couldn’t resist taking a bite out of your sausage before the photo, could you? Exercise some self-control, man! 😂

Haha er....photo taken, sausage bitten then decided to take a second one with the drinks in . Then it turned out the first one hadn't taken. Honest :sneakoff: I did wonder if someone would comment on that :)

Yes, that was a small! (with added black pudding). I am tempted to return next time we play Stoke to see what the belly buster is like.

Could have covered the bitten end of the sausage with beans or toast or even cropped that end out of the photo to avoid all this unpleasantness.

Also the reduced sugar and salt ketchup would make all the difference to the calorific value!

Where's the live ticker? This thread needs preview pics "as it happens" before the mother of all match reports drops next week :owusu:

I'm predicting that with a 3 day lead in no one will be fit enough to file a report by Tuesday.
As an extended bender taking in two games and FJ and others being married men I suspect they’ll be doing catch up at home and work to get a pass for Norwich so if we get a report next week I’ll be amazed. Particularly as they’ll need to be storing up the brownie points for Newcastle.
