I had the beef brisket burger yesterday.

She's a lucky lady.
Mrs OB made one of her rare football trips and I was able to treat her to the crisps and salad while I had the burger … which was nice.
I often tell her that. She's a lucky lady.![]()
My only gripe about yesterday. Not much selection left when I got in ground at 1.30 after a two hour drive!! I know it's late but still.
can't the samosa company come to West Stand too??
Whatever time I arrive at the ground there is a lack of selection of food. I probably buy food in the ground at 50% of games, I think I’ve done it a couple of times this season with any success, but the Samosa company is more efficient and offers better products that the Premier League football club. The last 3 times I’ve tried to buy food they have had more staff in the kiosk than food items available!
Working it out I would say over a season the club will probably lose out on £70 I would have spent on food and drink due to poor organisation. Times that by 16,000-17,000 people (an exaggeration perhaps) the club is potentially losing up to £1,000,000 in annual revenue because they can’t organise a catering outlet…![]()
My son had that and he's very particular about his food, especially burger-related – he said it was "OK", which is high praise indeed from him!I had the beef brisket burger yesterday.

Revenue and profit are different things mate, read my post againThey have to buy the raw materials so it’s not pure profit on 70 quid.

For vegetarians, it's passable in a sort of "I'm hungry and there's nothing else here for me" kind of way but I'd rather have some halloumi wraps for veggies in addition to the vegan option and I don't see why we can't have that too. Or samosas? I know they're in the North Stand but I'm West so I assume not accessible? The Moroccan pie is the dog's.Vegan Pasty yesterday, if you want to compare it to a cheap poor quality meat and potato pasty then I think they nailed it.
For £4.95 I expected something with a bit of flavour and texture. It was better than the precisely offered vegan Sausage Roll but no where near the quality of the Moroccan Pie.
You can access pre-match but not at HT I believe - just wander around the NW corner before the game as they are located outside the ground. For vegetarians, it's passable in a sort of "I'm hungry and there's nothing else here for me" kind of way but I'd rather have some halloumi wraps for veggies in addition to the vegan option and I don't see why we can't have that too. Thanks. Might have to get my brother to do that as it would be a bit of a trek for me with my knees but I'll remember for the next one.You can access pre-match but not at HT I believe - just wander around the NW corner before the game as they are located outside the ground.
Wandered round to back of N Stand pre Man City game and there were no samosas in sight….You can access pre-match but not at HT I believe - just wander around the NW corner before the game as they are located outside the ground.

May have been a bit early? Hour and a half before kick off……

The samosa stand is between the North Stand concourse and the railway behind albeit in the outside smokers area - so you have to enter through the North Stand turnstiles firstWandered round to back of N Stand pre Man City game and there were no samosas in sight….

Hmm I was told I could get to the kiosk even as a West Stand ST holder - is that not the case? I know at HT you can't but I thought it was accessible before the game? The samosa stand is between the North Stand concourse and the railway behind albeit in the outside smokers area - so you have to enter through the North Stand turnstiles first
Not if you can't get into the North Stand.Hmm I was told I could get to the kiosk even as a West Stand ST holder - is that not the case? I know at HT you can't but I thought it was accessible before the game?
Pah - was going to give them a try before the Wolves game as well ...Not if you can't get into the North Stand.
Yeah, that was my understanding too.Hmm I was told I could get to the kiosk even as a West Stand ST holder - is that not the case? I know at HT you can't but I thought it was accessible before the game?
Nope, I tried yesterday it's on the other side of the turnstiles.Hmm I was told I could get to the kiosk even as a West Stand ST holder - is that not the case? I know at HT you can't but I thought it was accessible before the game?
Yes actually, if you're inside the ground, you can walk around the NW corner into the North Stand via the seat rows, but not the concourses. Easier said than done though if not attempted early doors before the crowd get in and the seats/rows fill up.Hmm I was told I could get to the kiosk even as a West Stand ST holder - is that not the case? Ah well hopefully us Weststanders will get an opportunity at some point this season to try them outNope, I tried yesterday it's on the other side of the turnstiles.
I’ve had the chicken balti pie a couple of times and it’s the only thing I have bought more than once. Everything else has been dross. The chicken balti pie again was lovely. Another 9/10.
They are in the outside concourse by N123. They are not inside. Think @SamosasDirect need to come up with a clearer map than the one on this thread (I’m afraid it’s not clear enough) or be allowed to put up some signage.Wandered round to back of N Stand pre Man City game and there were no samosas in sight….

Please let the club know and we'd be happy to comply !My only gripe about yesterday. Not much selection left when I got in ground at 1.30 after a two hour drive!! I know it's late but still.

Hi, We're set up 2 hours before each kick off and are there until after half time when we take everything down and continue in the North Stand.
We're looking at some additional signage for the area. They are in the outside concourse by N123. They are not inside. Think @SamosasDirect need to come up with a clearer map than the one on this thread (I’m afraid it’s not clear enough) or be allowed to put up some signage.
Should be achievable if you arrive when the turnstiles open.Yes actually, if you're inside the ground, you can walk around the NW corner into the North Stand via the seat rows, but not the concourses. Easier said than done though if not attempted early doors before the crowd get in and the seats/rows fill up.
I will. How do I do it please. Who should I contact? Please let the club know and we'd be happy to comply !

There's beef in the Famous Brentford Pies (famously small, that is).I thought beef would never make any appearance for environmental reasons.....

It's always the common people who end up saving the world. So only the 'GA' fans need to be 'beefless'. I feel like a regional organiser for the NFU with my run of bovine posts.
They're on their way !Samosas in N stand is outside anf half way along. When its half time and everyone is out there its easily blocked. Maybe a flag on a pole like the old C5 had.
what food do they serve at French grounds just out of interest?I haven't bought food at a English football match since the 80s. I know it's going to be sh*t and over priced.
I bought food at OGC Nice 3 years ago and it was also sh*t and over priced.
And it’s the caterer’s problem not Brentford’s unless there’s a turnover rent on top of the basic feeThey have to buy the raw materials so it’s not pure profit on 70 quid.
Excellent as always thank you!How long has it been since you had a Samosa ?2nd Jan against Villa ?
The wait is over - we'll be back outside the North Stand & the Dugout Bar tonight.
Hope to see you all there !
At a game before Christmas one of the 'staff' in the lower bars of the East Stand stopped pouring my Guinness, as it was, I quote, 'too cloudy'!!!Early bird finished at least 10 mins early in East Stand
had to tell the fella serving he needed to decant the cider from the bottle to the plastic cups
teething problems, no doubt.
Mine were cold. How long has it been since you had a Samosa ?2nd Jan against Villa ?

We were there - sorry you didn't find us. We have a big banner now which will help you find us !Wandered round to back of N Stand pre Man City game and there were no samosas in sight….
