JDS has been one of the stars of post-lockdown, he’s been brilliant, along with Norgaard and of course Benny.

Yep, he was particularly good today!

Has become a superstition that I post this every game now, and we keep winning, so I'll keep it up...

Post lockdown...

Gap to auto promotion on 20th June = 10 points
Gap to auto promotion on 4th July = 2 points
4 games = 4 wins = 12/12 points (100%)
Goals Scored = 9
Goals Conceded = 0

WBA will slip up again - just keep winning, boys!

Absolutely outstanding. Much like the reading game. Very calm and controlled, slowly sussed out the oppo then took control and ruthlessly finished them off.. Prob should have had a couple of pens to put the icing on the cake but what a team, never looked like letting one in. Said MOM obvs but top performances from Norgaard and Henry with strong support from baptiste, DaSilva, Marcondes and Ollie.. Back four weren't really troubled. Only one out of sorts really was Bryan but he was up against a tough opponent. Bring on Charlton next!!!

JDS just summed up the attitude of the players in this squad leading up to Said's third goal. Got fouled nesr the touch line but kept on his feet and didn't go down looking for it. Had we been given it the free kick would probably have come to nothing.

We were a level above them which IMO , given their recent form, shows the gap in ability between the top three and the rest of the division. Sorry to see Baptiste leave injured but it showed that Josh is still the number one in that position. He made a significant impact when he came on. On we go.

The lads dont need us :(

I actually think it's helping us in a way, we've been playing some fantastic passing football out from the back which would normally have had the GP crowd taking sharp intakes of breath!!!

The best team in this division by a country mile . If we do Not make the premiership this season it will be a travesty. Message to you Leeds and WBA fans and also to tin pot NF, think yourselves lucky that we had a bad start to the season. We would have pissed this league. And you all know it. Well done to all concerned at GP.

"Best in the divison" arguably, but "by a country mile"?

I can only assume you weren't at GP for the visit of Leeds this season, or you'd realise that is way over the top.

I know you get a different feel on the TV compared to being in the ground....but I didnt think we got out of 3rd gear today. And we beat at a canter a team who hadn't let a goal in for 7 games.

The team are certainly on a run. Completely outplayed Wigan who until this game managed not to concede any goals in recent games.
Keep winning and just want WBA TO MESS UP. C'mon YOU REDS!!!

We are playing the best football in the division by some distance - unfortunately, the league table is a marathon not a sprint!

Well, a marathon is 'some distance' as opposed to a sprint.

I think our ball retention, quick and accurate passing and relentless forward movement just makes it look that way. You have to work exceptionally hard to make it look easy.

You can only assume wrong then mate ,I was there and they played us off the park. But they don’t play like that every week. Were you at Charlton, where we played them off the park and lost. Were you at go when a fluke goal by Forrest gave them the win again after we played them off the park. I stand by my comment. A slow start to the season cost us the Championship title.

Well, a marathon is 'some distance' as opposed to a sprint.

As with a marathon we just need to concentrate on ourselves and keep putting in consistent miles (wins). Watching the game today, after some last minute scrambling to get iFollow to work, we looked VERY comfortable. If we just focus on the next game, win it and then it is down to WBA, they might hit the wall and drop off, it can happen in a marathon. I don't think, in this little mini league of games following the break, that we have hit our peak, I still feel it is to come.

Superb again - we are playing as well as I have ever seen us at the right time. Wigan were chasing shadows for long periods and when in possession every player went looking to win the ball back - even Said win 2 tackles on the edge of his box.

Keep this up and even if we dont make top 2 we will be heavy favourites for the playoffs - Forest today were crap and Sky reckoned it was their best performance of the season....

We are just too good at the moment. Without a doubt the best team in the league right now and the frightening thing is we are getting better and better.

Our goal difference is incredible and we just beaten a team comfortable that haven't conceded since mid Feb. We have 3 players in the top 10 scorers in the league but what impressed me today is our pressing. Our defence starts from the front three and thought if this makes sense they defended well.

With all due respect Brentford are the third best team in the division. If you look at the efl stats which is over posession, goals conceded, goals scored etc Leeds are 90% of those in first position. Brentford are playing good stuff but Leeds and WBA on their day are excellent which is why they have dominated the top two all season. Brentford have scored the most though.

Is true, took a while for new players to gel. Up until maybe Millwall at home.
We also dipped when PJ was out.
With him in the side we look unbeatable

So of the 3 stats you use as comparators, Brentford are better than WBA and Leeds for 2 of them. I don’t think you’re proving your point here.

And you definitely aren’t a BFC fan. You’d understand by now that the table is not the be all and end all of performance if you were.

As well as a slow start I’d add to that the loss of Pontus and the horrible high winds in Feb that affected our passing game

Must have been the easiest game ever for Raya. Did he make a single save in that game ? No wonder he was hovering around the halfway line during second half. I was pretty nervous about this game at the start. Typical old school Brentford supporter worrying about everything …….but it turned into yet another Bees master class. Great stuff

It’s now about 540/545 minutes since we conceded a goal. Great stat that underpins all of the newfound defensive stability that gets us to the premiership.

And conceded the least. With a goal difference of +40 just to complete the stat for you.

Made it look easy...the admin situation must have knocked Wigan for 6 as they were dire...just need to keep winning and hope wba draw atleast one and then QPR can do us a favour!

Currently the best team in the division without doubt - however the table doesnt lie over 41 games so I'll agree with your assessment if not the stats that you quote as we are top in most now

What impressed me as much as anything is that, once again, we are just as strong, if not stronger, after our substitutions.
Sorry to see Baptiste go off. Any news of his injury? However, Josh was sublime when he came on. Impressed too by Fosu’s running and control.

Just like at Reading, we controlled the game from start to finish. Whether Wigan were affected by their administration difficulties, I don’t know but they certainly didn’t play, or weren’t allowed to play, like the in form team they have been.

A great day, spoiled only by Leeds failing to capitulate at Blackburn.
