Damn frustrating. We offered little today against a truly non-football good side of tough guys who had one shot in target. Our passing in the middle of the park was poor and sloppy, nobody took a grip in midfield, we lost the 50:50s and scarcely had a player near any loose balls. I have noticed that we leave big gaps in midfield recently. Our final passing was ineffective and the number of times we gave away the ball too cheaply was a thorn in the side. Yes we deserved a point but we never controlled or dominated convincingly. Huddersfield were hard to bear but they are a bunch of hoofers and timewasters who would be better playing rugby. The goal they scored naturally came from a mistake where we didn’t keep the ball. We tried to play our way but it was very disjointed. Kamo again wasn’t on his game and Noirgaard was loose too. We never got going. Frustrating after all the hard work. We need to keep the ball better, predict louse balls and dictate better.

Poor performance all round. Janson the only one I felt played well. No new ideas to overcome a very average side. 9 out of 12 is obviously ok but not good today.

Frustrating day. After a couple of games when no-one got less than a 7 difficult to think of anyone who managed that high a score. Maybe Norgaard, just.. Kamo and DaSilva v poor today. Mbuemo ran riot first half but then disappeared. Hudds had a game plan and just didn’t let us play. Most frustrating thing was that they scored when we’d actually put together a bit of pressure and were looking the most likely. Subs at the end showed were now short of depth. Not the game to bring Zamburek on I’m afraid..

And yes, ref needs a rocket up his derriere - abysmal. As usual.
This is the same ref that brandished 5 or 6 yellows in our direction and subsequently sent Mepham off against Bristol City as they took the piss when winning 1 nil at GP last year. He sounds as if he was on his game again today ! Scouse Dick !

The ref was an absolute bell end tbh. Crazy decisions ( both ways to be fair towards the end).

If there’s a blueprint for how to play against us that was it. Cowley and co had clearly done their homework.

Very average game with too many players below par.. Norgaard and pontus only standouts.. Can already feel that I'm going to hate Cowleyball...

Wow. What a sh*t show.

If there was a masterclass of passing between defence and hoofing it into channels. Then that wasn’t even that! lol

Gutted as a win would have got us up to 7th. Although we were very poor credit must go to Hudders, they did a job on us and were a well drilled side. We had nothing in the tank and our lack of depth was exposed today. We lost 6 games now and 5 of them 1-0.

A very frustrating game today capped by some very strange decisions from the referee, one in particular being when he moved the ball for one of our free kicks, presumable because it was on the wrong blade of grass.

Running 30 yards to move a ball six inches - wasting time. Must be in the pocket of a Huddersfield mafia. Hope he gets another rocket up his arse pathetic.

They did a job on us. Time wasting from the start to frustrate our attack. Well drilled defence. Waited for an error and took advantage of it. First goal was always going to be the winner. cynical but effective.

...yep...sit deep and allow no space in behind....Huddersfield defended well and deserve credit...we couldn't break them down....how TF would love to play teams who come at us every week.

More than one absolutely stonewall foul not given their way when it absolutely should have - I think this is one occasion where we can’t blame the referee for the outcome.

They certainly did a job. Made the pitch seem very tight, very small allowing us no space. Lots of theatrics to run the clock down. Ref was truly awful today.
We weren't able to do enough to break them down. No really clear cut chances either.

He went from being very lenient to card happy but I take your point. The shove by Henry he ignored near the end was unreal

Poor as Kamo and DaSilva were today, I think the subs unbalanced us

We are the 18th in Championship home form. Two wins out of seven home matches. Today, first shot at goal on the 61st minute. Strange fortress this season so far...

Very poor. No incisive passes through the defence (Oh! For Sawyers!), no pressure by our attack, no troubles for their 'keeper, no one showing for throw -ins, etc, none of the passion showing at QPeeHa, no strength in tackles, lack of control giving the ball away.

Very disappointing. as said above, if we won we would be 7th instead of which we are top of the bottom half of the table.

Oh! Dear - see you at Wigan next Saturday.

"We had to make sure that we played in a way that would disrupt their rhythm and fluency. They were never able to get in their passing patterns.“ Danny Cowley

That “way” was time wasting, fouling & feigning injury,
I’d rather lose playing like we do than win playing that Warnockball b**lshit.

I know I’m likely to get some abuse for this, but when is Benrahma going to realise when we are under pressure stop all the fancy stuff and surely Jenson is a better option for free kicks around the box if not please find someone and keep,Benrahma away from them. I said before Benrahma took the late free kick it was going to be high

Crowley is clearly the new Warnock. Rather depressing really.

Somehow the coaching staff have to find a way round this type of play from the opposition. We just ran out of ideas after the first half.

Don't forget telling our players to calm down whilst slowly writing in his book after cautioning a Huddersfield player for a foul on us. That process literally took a minute itself. Slowed the game down massively and allowed them back in to position and prepare for the next phase adequately.

We simply have to keep in the frame and going with what we have until January because we have no forward options beyond the starting eleven bar Valencia and Zamburek assuming Clarke is injured.

Leaving aside his OCD in moving the ball an inch before we took that free kick. Stopping us from having the advantage when Elphick sat on Watkins and then failing to book him summed up his total incompetence.

That was total poop, we were too slow in bringing the ball out and getting forward that allowed them to keep their shape all game.

Bryan looked a threat first half but kept on taking an extra touch instead of getting his shot off. Second half his first touch was shocking and he looked dead on his feet.

The ref didn’t lose us the game although he was dogsh*t, us having one shot on target in 90 minutes at home is why we lost.

I was impressed with the back 4 today with the exception of the goal where we allowed him to cut in on his favoured right and thought Valencia looked lively again when he came on.
Said was too in and out and gave the ball away cheap too often second half when we were building up a head of steam and really needed to keep it.

All in all a bad at the office and a bit after the Lord Mayors show but lots of strange results today. November is a potentially big points haul if we play as we did at the Bush and a lot less if we play like we did today.

I know he’s young but I though Zamburek was playing for them.
Bit harsh, but in the small time he was on the pitch he looked out of his depth.

But he's young and he will learn.

Totally agree.

It has been the same for 5 seasons now, the first season up we beat all the sh*t sides. Since then we have been beaten by anti football teams more times than I can remember. I was hoping the intro of norgaard and Jannson was going to put an end to it but it had made little difference.

Two great results and all undone with another diving, cheating, time wasting team, a beyond incompetent ref and our inability to do anything about it.

We got no momentum going as every 30 seconds or so we had 2 mins for an injury, a free kick, retrieving a kicked away ball etc etc. It’s no good booking them in the 90th minute because all you are doing is killing our time. Do it i the first half and then we can give it a fair go in the second half.

All said and done one save by their keeper and none by ours says it all, our 5-6th 1.0 defeat of the season against sh*t teams, it is a pattern not a fluke.

Away from home teams come at us and we have the players to exploit the space. At home there is no space with teams sitting off. Means the first goal is so important.

Huddersfield too savy for us today. They looked very solid to be fair to them.

No good moaning about the ref. He didn’t tell the team to go backwards, sideways, slow the ball down when in possession, play stupid flicks, play lazy passes or put in half hearted challenges. Only about 3 players players well today. The rest were utter cr*p. To be fair, we have been on a good run but today was awful. As for the time wasting - they wouldn’t have been doing if that they had been losing.

That bridge on a damp night is a safety hazard with those brick steps, I also wonder if its man enough to take the full
Load of supporters, I can only assume checks have been done.

Don’t really want to defend a poor ref, but he put a spray line down and we chose to place the ball in front of it, totally our fault that one.

This is not a match report thread and the fact we were at home today and more fans at the game to comment.
