A bit embarrassing from Frank in the post-match. I get that he has to back his team, but to say with such conviction that Brentford would have won the game had the red card not happened just looks a bit foolish in what was an even game up until that point.
Well I loved it. If we go down we are going to go down fighting.

OK. I'm saying that you're stating those as facts whereas they are your opinions. Perhaps that should be the starting point of your conversation.
I did make that clear in my original posts that it was how it looked to me. It's football, it's all subjective, it kind of goes without saying anyway. None of use here have any more authority than anyone else, you don't need to talk down to anyone to get your point across...whatever it may be :)

It’ll be embarrassing for Cooper when Rico’s card is overturned.

You watch them on Sky backtracking pre-match on Wednesday.

It’s obvious from the slo-mo and the photos that Rico plays the ball before the Swansea player even gets near it, and he just then falls over Rico.

On a positive note, they didn’t look like getting a second. Good substitution IMO, then again that might be partly due to the starting 11 maybe not being quite right

We were starting to get on top and were the better team... Never a sending off so TF has every right to be fuming! Far too many games decided by poor refereeing decisions!

We were the better side pre-red card, Frank was correct. Happy to see him animated tbh, always very calm. Maybe this is what we need

I think it looks good to emboldened Brentford fans at the current moment. But it just looks a bit silly to be so brazen in stating we would've won the game had that moment not occurred.

I do not believe that Rico should have been sent off, however, if it is not overturned will Rico Henry be suspended for the final should we win on Wednesday? I am sure that someone will know.

I thought after the red Stroud looked worried and embarrassed and frightened to make a decision. Thought it was interesting him having a conversation with Jensen during the drinks break and having to take off his mike

I think it was a red card. I'm not sure it will be overturned though, I think Frank's comments could backfire in that respect as the EFL will defiantly back their man.

I have to give some trust to our commentary team when I'm listening. I know some like to blame a player but it seemed we were in the game until the red card and that is enough for me.
I don't *like* blaming a player. I made clear he was in no way responsible for tonight's defeat. He is simply not doing enough to start and it is rather frustrating that he is. Not sure why we bought Baptiste in Jan if we are not going to play him until the final ten minutes!

These inept, incompetent officials could cost this club millions. First the penalty at Stoke when Pinnock was hauled over now this one with Henry, a yellow at worst. The other issue for me is that, it’s three games now none of the front three haven’t scored

4th and final chance next wednesday. Hope TF changes things up, time to start Marcondes or Baptiste for Jensen.
There will be less pressure on us now, as most people, not Bees fans, well not all of them, will think it is all over

When you start believing in refereeing conspiracies rather than just incompetence then it's probably best to take some time away from the telly and the computer.
It’s not a conspiracy. I think we’re all to ready to blame refs when things go wrong, Stroud is out there on his own though. Incompetent or biased or both he’s not fit to referee Sunday league let alone a playoff SF.

Did he also say the cabango one was a much clearer red and they got lucky with that.
No but did say how thankful he was that his player was able to get back up. How he said it with a straight face I'll never know.

Going by TF, I think the players will be very, very fired up.

Swansea manager saying clear red. ****.
Of course he's saying "clear red" if he said it wasn't as opposition manager it would definitely be rescinded & Rico would be playing on wednesday, might influence his decision & a stupid question from the Sky bird to ask.

Yes it was a red card. You are not colour blind. However it should've stayed in his pocket with the photo of his missus and the goat.

b***ock*s, Brentford 6 games ago would have been 2-0 up before the penalty and sending off. We have scored 1 goal in 357 minutes that is a big worry. When its really mattered we havent been ruthless enough. Hope your right and we can turn it around. But I find it so hard to keep going through the disapointment.
Finger crossed you don't feel the need to post on Wednesday, because that would mean we have done enough to get through.

Dear rchrdbee are you a Dick ?
I know some fans are probably upset and angry this evening but it would be good if you could refrain from resorting to personal insults on here, however funny you think it might be. I've tried to be respectful in what I've said and haven't been arrogant or argumentative so stuff like this just creates a pile-on of abuse, which I'd rather avoid.

Refereeing for games of this magnitude bearing in mind what’s at stake should be of Premier league status, not saying they don’t make errors they do but they are likely to more right than wrong and I agree that VAR should be in use for games like this, but most Championship grounds haven’t got it

Maybe I'll come back here when some of you have calmed down. I can see there's a lot of emotion from people on here and it's manifesting as anger. When there's discussion to be had I might pop back.

For what it's worth Talksport commentators were surprised Stroud reached for a card at all. They couldn't belive it was red.

How magnanimous of you - no comment to make on the photos Banana posted before you go though? The ones that show Rico winning the ball and his studs/boots making zero contact with their player?

The only embarrassing thing is you mate.
Look at banana’s stills.
He gets the ball and the player falls over his leg. A yellow would have been an overreaction.
A red was a bloody crime.
Now go and have your cocoa and get an early night

If the red gets rescinded, first tackle Rico makes on Wednesday night might be interesting. In addition influencing the ref to give a red card is cheating , so Cooper is another one to add to the list, need to sneak someone into the New Road with a sheep burger and relish.
