Can't really pass it off as "spin" - he's saying it didn't happen. No surprise here. A bit like Ballance statement all very defensive and no doubt MW wanted to get his spin to events out before his name was published more widely. Expect it will get more deeper than this.
Bit more info here:That's behind a paywall, but no doubt available elsewhere.

Michael Vaughan or Mark Warburton?
He also isn't the first non Yorkshire person to play for the county. MV really is talking b*******s.Poor MW being the first non-Yorkshire player to play for the County. I am not comparing ….. but yes he is

Just the tip of the ice berg. Yorkshire cricket club as we know it is f***ed. And quite righty so. As I said above more names will come out.Can scarcely believe what’s coming out of this now.
There have been at least a dozen Yorkshire players born outside the County before Sachin...the whole thing is a bit of a myth. The most famous of these was Lord Hawke(born in Lincolnshire) who brought in the policy in the first place. It fits in with a certain Yorkshire "otherness" that some people in the County have always had.Yep he seems to have forgotten a certain Sachin

I know many Yorkshire CCC and County Board coaches and managers in their excellent youth set-up,having worked for Lancashire juniors for 20 years...I have never seen or heard any sort of racism or discrimination. They are very keen if not desperate to get more Asian involvement.Obviously,I only know about the first and second teams from what I've read in the media.
And you, quite frankly can't wait. You're loving every minute of it, any chance to wade in on England and English cricket is not to be missed.
Racists all over the world mate, I read it every day on Twitter.
A bit of advice don’t read Twitter. 99.99999% are irrelevant and not in any position of power or sportsman/ sportswomen. I would add not sure if it was on this forum but I noted back in 2008/9 I made my thoughts clear I was disgusted at the racist abuse from Indians towards Andrew symonds. Not an isolated incident, every day I read disgusting and racist abuse from Indian supporters on Twitter. Definitely not an isolated incident towards Shami. I may have missed it but I hope that house is going to get to be put in order pretty soon. Are enquiries happening yet?
Anyway, let's be honest here, you're waiting for Jonny Bairstow and Tim Bresnan (my guesses) as names and you'll be back all over it. Anything proven will hopefully be dealt with.
Exactly the sort of comment that makes it difficult if not impossible for people to raise issues of racism. Shocked! And you, quite frankly can't wait. You're loving every minute of it, any chance to wade in on England and English cricket is not to be missed.
Shocked! SHOCKED! OMG SHOCKED! Poor you, thoughts and prayers.Exactly the sort of comment that makes it difficult if not impossible for people to raise issues of racism. Shocked!
2008 / 2009! That's an awful long time for change to have taken place. Never has. I first became aware of Indian abuse on Twitter when David Lloyd once dared to criticise the Indian cricket team ( can't recall why). The abuse he received would have have led to bans and possible convictions over here.
Anyway, subject matter in hand - the problems in English cricket need to and will be dealt with. I hope the rest of the world acts to deal with their own issues and not pretend that it is just an English issue.
Can you tell me how many Pakistani players were selected for an IPL franchise?Comparing institutional racism with comments on Twitter. WTF. You really are pissed tonight. Can you let me know any cricket club in any country that is currently facing racism on the scale Yorkshire Cricket club are? Get a grip will you.
Can you tell me how many Pakistani players were selected for an IPL franchise?
I'll help you out - in the past year when 4 British Asians have played for England, not a single Pakistani has played for an IPL side. Can you imagine if the ENTIRE British county system said that we won't be selecting players from Pakistan! Questions in the House for sure.
Racism in all its forms needs to be stamped out, no double standards.
Nice try at deflection, I haven't had a drink.I will reply on your posts tomorrow. Go to sleep will you.
So what was your post about?Shocked! SHOCKED! OMG SHOCKED! Poor you, thoughts and prayers.
I abhor racism in all its forms.
Can you read?So what was your post about?

A formal reply? Are you going to write me a letter? No deflection at all more I will reply tomorrow and for you to reflect on your comments tonight. Trust me I will reply - you think I’ll let your bullshit go without a formal reply. Get a grip (again).
Can you read?
Can you answer the question?

It's like Frank SinatraThis is my last reply on GPG
Ok. I’ve re read the last few posts. It sounds to me like the sort of whataboutery racists use to when pretending not to be racists. Is that you, I think not but you really need to reflect on what you are saying and why it’s so offensive. It's all there, I don't need to repost it.
Oh, I need to reflect do I? Please let me know how contrite I should be?Ok. I’ve re read the last few posts. Don’t bother replying as you won’t have had time to reflect.
Your replies don’t come across well. I don’t believe it’s a racist motive from you whatsoever but two wrongs don’t make a right.Oh, I need to reflect do I? Please let me know how contrite I should be?
Anyway, I do hope you're not trying to call me a racist, that would be unfortunate.
Happy for you to reply.

You’re absolutely correct, institutional racism against Pakistani players in the IPL goes on and on but that has nothing to do with the domestic issue here. The stables need to be cleaned in this country.
And you, quite frankly can't wait. You're loving every minute of it, any chance to wade in on England and English cricket is not to be missed.
Thanks for the feedback. This is pretty poor squire, not quite sure why you are having a pop at IB. This whole issue at YCCC is disgraceful and that's what we are discussing here. IB isn't saying anything that the rest of us aren't saying.
Thanks for the feedback.![]()
