Seen all these disgraceful tweets before and there are more out there. I am glad that he will not appear on the BBC Radio 5 show next week and let's see how this pans out. Sadly he is only relevant on social media by his huge number of followers from India and Pakistan.

For what it is worth, I thought he was an excellent England captain and during a short period was the best test batsmen.

There have been at least a dozen Yorkshire players born outside the County before Sachin...the whole thing is a bit of a myth.The most famous of these was Lord Hawke(born in Lincolnshire) who brought in the policy in the first place.It fits in with a certain Yorkshire "otherness" that some people in the County have always had.
I know many Yorkshire CCC and County Board coaches and managers in their excellent youth set-up,having worked for Lancashire juniors for 20 years...I have never seen or heard any sort of racism or discrimination.They are very keen if not desperate to get more Asian involvement.Obviously,I only know about the first and second teams from what I've read in the media.

I was at the 3rd test at Headingley this August (day before we played Villa). Met and spoke to some proper Yorkshire folk, really decent people but they themselves were really worried even then about what the report would find and a couple really welcomed the investigations so they could focus on the findings, action it and move on. There obviously are some barriers that is preventing players of Asian heritage progressing further at Yorkshire. The Yorkshire leagues has some of the best cricketing talent in the country of all heritages. One hears various names being bounded about that is in the report and I suspect (could be wrong) more names will be revealed.

Not an isolated incident, every day I read disgusting and racist abuse from Indian supporters on Twitter. Definitely not an isolated incident towards Shami. I may have missed it but I hope that house is going to get to be put in order pretty soon. Are enquiries happening yet?

Anyway, let's be honest here, you're waiting for Jonny Bairstow and Tim Bresnan (my guesses) as names and you'll be back all over it. Anything proven will hopefully be dealt with.

A bit of advice don’t read Twitter. 99.99999% are irrelevant and not in any position of power or sportsman/ sportswomen. I would add not sure if it was on this forum but I noted back in 2008/9 I made my thoughts clear I was disgusted at the racist abuse from Indians towards Andrew symonds.

Second bit of advice. Don’t assume what I am thinking ever.

Put that glass away ffs.

2008 / 2009! That's an awful long time for change to have taken place. Never has. I first became aware of Indian abuse on Twitter when David Lloyd once dared to criticise the Indian cricket team ( can't recall why). The abuse he received would have have led to bans and possible convictions over here.

Anyway, subject matter in hand - the problems in English cricket need to and will be dealt with. I hope the rest of the world acts to deal with their own issues and not pretend that it is just an English issue.

Can you tell me how many Pakistani players were selected for an IPL franchise?

I'll help you out - in the past year when 4 British Asians have played for England, not a single Pakistani has played for an IPL side. Can you imagine if the ENTIRE British county system said that we won't be selecting players from Pakistan. Questions in the House for sure.

Racism in all its forms needs to be stamped out, no double standards.

This is my last reply on GPG. I don’t need to bloody well tell you how many Pakistanis was selected in the IPL. Google it- you know it .And so the reason is beyond cricket anyone knows it is politics. Don’t compare the English racism with that. It’s a far bigger picture. It has been interesting to see that you throughout this debate tried to compare examples of others to somewhat deflect the racism with the English counties. Take accountability in the English system as we are on an English forum. Duh. Now AE tell me which other country or county in any part of the world has the racism that is affecting Yorkshire. Pipe down I say.

Your replies don’t come across well. I don’t believe it’s a racist motive from you whatsoever but two wrongs don’t make a right.

You’re absolutely correct, institutional racism against Pakistani players in the IPL goes on and on but that has nothing to do with the domestic issue here. The stables need to be cleaned in this country.

This. The situation here is disgusting and needs to be changed.

Yes there are issues in India as well and they arent right either.

No one benefits from trying to look at whose house is in order and whose isnt.

Rather then that. Lets look to oust the racist and let them get what they deserve.

Racisim is the issue here and we need to unite to stop these people who are promoting a disguting agenda.

This is pretty poor squire, not quite sure why you are having a pop at IB. This whole issue at YCCC is disgraceful and that's what we are discussing here. IB isn't saying anything that the rest of us aren't saying.
