Although it does seem rather weird that a US reporter based in Nashville might be even thinking about Brentford. He's said no, and that it's wishful thinking.

He's confused us with Barnsley who are signing a player from the MLS.I'm lost here on the US link above. Are we actually linked with a player from the MLS?
I think TF has realise as I can't remember the last time he played on the wing. You better tell the management then, and the scouting.![]()
Looks unlikely at best!Although it does seem rather weird that a US reporter based in Nashville might be even thinking about Brentford.![]()
Really? There I was thinking he’s playing himself nicely into form, and able to cover several positions....Ghoddas is never a winger, rather play a B Team player there then him. Can only really see Ghoddas as cover for Jenson.
I think that was more because he's needed him in midfield than anything else.I think TF has realise as I can't remember the last time he played on the wing.
2017 seasonReally? There I was thinking he’s playing himself nicely into form, and able to cover several positions....
I've enjoyed watching him more since he has moved more central....I think he will be an upgrade on Marcondes in timeI think that was more because he's needed him in midfield than anything else.
Yep made his name on the wing for Ostersunds..2017 season

Looking at those stats, he's never really played in midfield.
Can't see it happening this season.I forgot we have Gus Mog too......hopefully he can get some game time too in the forward positions![]()
Can do that after the deadline anyway. They just can’t play for the first team.Any more B team signings? Guessing prob not?
Praying for a wide addition and the left back options baffle me.
stefan Kuntz to Fulham ?I think these deals will be rushed through
David Villa to sign for Villa
Antonio Valencia to sign for Valencia
Nile Ranger to sign for Rangers
Danny sh*ttu to resign for QPR
Liverpool are being said to have gazumped Celtic for Ben Davies from PNE. I think he is still very undervalued at £2M, couldnt we have outbid Liverpool for him
ok we have Winston Reid now but Ben Davies would have been an investment
Davies is going for £500k plus £1.5m in add ons I believe. He's out of contract in the summer. PNE taken the money.Liverpool are being said to have gazumped Celtic for Ben Davies from PNE. I think he is still very undervalued at £2M, couldnt we have outbid Liverpool for him

I suspect he had a buyout clause at £2m. If so, it boils down to how much you can offer him as a contract. That’s where your line of reasoning falters...Liverpool are being said to have gazumped Celtic for Ben Davies from PNE. He's not turning down Liverpool for us!Liverpool are being said to have gazumped Celtic for Ben Davies from PNE. I think he is still very undervalued at £2M, couldnt we have outbid Liverpool for him

He's turned a blind eye to us...Still not to late for a cheeky loan for Nelson.
We could have done Preston a favour by raising the bidding, of course he wouldnt turn Liverpool down but I am not liking the way they can click their fingers and summon players without even paying close to a fair price. I know its Preston’s fault letting him get close to the end of his contractHe's not turning down Liverpool for us!
He's 39 now and I don't think that we need another goalie...Still not to late for a cheeky loan for Nelson.
It was an 'armless suggestion......He's turned a blind eye to us...
not arf, NelsonIt was an 'armless suggestion......

Sammy Nelson from Arsenal? Would provide left back cover although not sure how quick he is nowHe's 39 now and I don't think that we need another goalie...
I guess the issue with getting another left back in is the reality is they're unlikely to make more than the odd appearance unless Henry gets injured. That's a difficult sell....Praying for a wide addition and the left back options baffle me.
Liverpool sold it to Ben Davies as when van Dijk is fit he won't get a look inI guess the issue with getting another left back in is the reality is they're unlikely to make more than the odd appearance unless Henry gets injured. That's a difficult sell....
Yes but we have no back up there. MR and MBS are not a natural replacement. We sent that individual out on loan.I guess the issue with getting another left back in is the reality is they're unlikely to make more than the odd appearance unless Henry gets injured. That's a difficult sell....
Nelson lost interest when he found out Hardy went to Liverpool.not arf, Nelson
Lol sitting on their Bench in the Prem on let's guess minimum £40k is better than our bench. Pretty poor comparison lolLiverpool sold it to Ben Davies as when van Dijk is fit he won't get a look in
He’ll get a good few games this season and if he does well there’ll be other PL teams to go to. If not, he’ll dine out on having played for one of the biggest clubs in the world, will get a load of cup and European outings, medals etc (plus a hefty wedge).Lol sitting on their Bench in the Prem on let's guess minimum £40k is better than our bench. Pretty poor comparison lol

That website was debunked ages ago, iirc. The supposed salaries were lifted from Championship Manager or Football Manager (whichever one it was). So take those figures quoted with a pinch of salt.Brentford 2020-21 Player Wages - Football League FC
Few weeks old this now but this says Davies was on £4500 a week at Preston so I doubt very much if he's on £40k at Liverpool but no doubt he's increased his income, good luck to him it's a god temporary move I'd say

If we go up, I think Marcondes, Reid & Jeanvier will go at the end of this season. With Forss, Racic, Goode, & Thompson to go out on loan. I then think we would need 1 striker, an attacking midfielder, 1 wide player, a centre back with pace and potentially a right back (not sure if Roerslev is ready to step up to the premier league). That's provided we can keep hold of Rico and Toney which I'm sure we can with promotion. If we make the PL how many players do we think we would need, assuming we could keep what we have,
some teams have replaced whole squads (eg Fulham) and been relegated once but may just get away
with it this time. Leeds made a few quality signings, West Brom & Norwich did not make many (I think).
PL teams name a squad of 25 players I think.
I make that 5 in, rest of squad made up with B teamers? HD to be added to exits (purely based on rumours of return home)If we go up, I think Marcondes, Reid & Jeanvier will go at the end of this season. Ideally, we need 2 first-team outfielders for each position and 3 'keepers. If we make the PL how many players do we think we would need...
How can you say that about Reid? You have not seen him play yet, or at least not for any length of time. He is not our player anyway, but he has a wealth of experience, and may well be the right sort of player should he be available to help stabilise our position a a Premier League club.If we go up, I think Marcondes, Reid & Jeanvier will go at the end of this season. All the out of contract players will leave of we get promoted IMHO to be competitive at least 5 new incomings - would probably need more strikers as well as Toney and Forss wouldn't be enough in PLIf we go up, I think Marcondes, Reid & Jeanvier will go at the end of this season. Because he’s not our player - If he gets back to fitness and is a decent option then he may be the defender we need in the premier league, although his wages might still be an issue...How can you say that about Reid? Yes, I have said that he is not our player! He is, back to fitness, he has played matches for Kansas City, and West Ham under 23's, he just needs games in the Championship. My point is providing he has a successful loan he may then just be the player we would need after promotion. His wages will be sorted out in the overall deal - that is if we decide we want him. What I could not understand was why you wrote him off without even seeing him play for us?Because he’s not our player - If he gets back to fitness and is a decent option then he may be the defender we need in the premier league, although his wages might still be an issue...
I think we would look towards a younger player with more pace for the PL.Yes, I have said that he is not our player!
