Get where you’re coming from but the realistic Brentford innit thread would be about which players would definitely get poached when we failed to go up and who in L1 or 2 and our B Team would step up to give us another shot at heartache next season. For once I’m happy to leave that sort of thinking until it becomes a sad reality if at all.

How miserable! Not only will we be promoted this season, but we will win the entire shooting works, you see. Consequently no players will wish to depart the club in the Summer, keep the faith.

Different style of player. He did win a Championship play off final and get to play in the PL which Rico hasn’t yet. One of the best of the pre-Benham modern era, certainly much better than Ijah.

With Forss now also injured the loaning out of Halil looks short-sighted. It's a compacted season and we were bound to lose on of Forss or Toney at some point, or to need to rest them

With the amount of injuries piling up are there any free agents around worth picking up? I did notice Daniel Sturrridge but before anybody bites my head off I know he would be expensive and most likely fail the no dickhead tests but a proven experienced goal scorer that could be worth a short term punt. I also saw there was a former Chelsea champions league midfield player available that we might have heard of....perhaps not! Josh Clarke again? If fit could give us a backup left and right back and wing, not the greatest but served us well for a long time.

This guy? Patrick da Silva (Danish footballer) - Wikipedia
Can't say I know much about him but he's a Danish free agent left back known to TF.

We had the hole of January to sort this out .Most people knew that we had to get backup in .You don’t take a gamble and think we will not get any injuries between now and the end of the season

We are always saying on here you can't block the pathways for B teamers with loan players well we now have a situation
where B teamers could come to the fore due to injuries, but how many are at the level to step in?

I would prefer us to treat this as a Cup match. I think we would have a far better chance of winning with that mentality and use our B teamers

By the looks of it he would fail the ND test, and as he has not played for a club since last season even if he could crack a new country and the Championship it would take him weeks to get fit. Good idea though. Now Norgaards back I am sure that Janelt would do well at left back, or even a job in goal!

Wouldn't get too concerned about WR. IF and it's a BIG if we get promoted, we're gonna need a lot of new players. Our current squad would get hammered in the PL.

Would it - beat 4 PL teams in Carabao Cup and gave Spurs a good game at their place in the semi final. Not saying we would be perfectly fine as it stands but I think we would do better than getting hammered - probably 4 or 5 new players would be required.
