Apologies if this is the wrong sub section, but with the end of the season looming we're being linked with a couple of players.
Taylor Harwood-Ellis a 19 year old centre back from Man City and Thierry Small, a 16 year old left back from Everton.

We have also been linked with Dion Charles, striker from Accrington. He has 17 goals in 32 games thus far.

Balogun from Arsenal...
(no link - just he could be a very good acquisition when we get promoted).

Had a host of clubs looking to take him in a free in June. Tipped to go to Germany I hear so this looks an unlikely one frankly.

Two things
1) is he out of contract this summer , so would be a free signing no transfer fee but maybe a signing on fee
2) wonder if he’s friendly with Jos Dasilva
I would imagine due to his age a fee would be involved although not massive, hopefully he could be a potential target.

I suspect this might be why Arsenal have been valuing him so highly, in the hope that that leads to a higher compensation fee.

Hopefully we can finally realise the dream partnership of John Akinde and Kevin Rapley up front.

At the beginning of February the Scottish Newspapers were implying that Nathan Young-Combes from Rangers had signed a pre Contract with us. It all seems to have gone quiet now perhaps that is a good sign.

I like us to have a good look at Dolan from Blackburn and Mighten from Forest both look decent prospects and would both excel with us. When we played both Blackburn and Forest recently both stood out. Olise and Ajari from Reading also look good prospects and would do well for us. I doubt if any of those I've mentioned would be cheap or would their current clubs like to lose them.

I think all of those would want their next move to be upwards rather than sideways.

Only possible, IMO, with a promotion and some serious cash.

As long as we are talking about Forest though Brennan Johnson is another great looking prospect. Just 19, been great on loan at Lincoln in L1 this season and already capped twice by the Wales senior side. They could be an exciting side next season if they keep these prospects together.

Most of this thread will be determined by what division we are in next season.

MB will be very keenly aware of the stats which will show a probability of promotion very substantially below 50% (we were 83% to finish top two the day we went top briefly) so most effort will be going towards another championship campaign sadly

Changing of the guard at Arsenal.

Ironically they too have lost their excellent left back to injury and, like us, no specialist cover.

We could loan him....
Balogun? I suspect he has the Arsenalitis we saw with Akpom, Leeds saw in Nketiah and we took a season to disinfect JDS of. No use whatever as a loan.

Nketieh - suspect Arsenal will move him on. Maybe he's a more realistic target than Balogun

He might be salvagable as he’ll probably find the adjustment less demanding than Bielsaball.

IMO Nketiah is too similar to Forss to warrant any interest and I don't think he's done anything like enough at AFC or LUFC to justify trying to develop him any further.

Bielsa wasn't keen at all and this is a man who starts Tyler Roberts in PL games.

Barry Bannan is one who’s being linked again. I would be happy with that signing, plenty of experience and a player to help us get over the line if we don’t this season. Would even be a useful cheap addition for the prem. His qualities will flourish in our set up
