I’ve wildcarded this week so my team’s quite different. I think it was a good choice to wildcard as I’d just bought Doucoure and had Lukaku!
Aha.
Well the same logic would apply, you could ditch one of your four cheaper midfielders for a 4.5 mid and then have the money to have a Foden / Grealish type of option there rather than having a 5.5 or 6m player on the bench and a dilemma over who to pick every week. Up to you of course.

A lot of so-called experts deeply dislike expensive goalkeepers too as it tends to be a decent mid table keepers that get the most points .... clean sheet numbers are often similar to the top picks and they rack up the saves and therefore the bonus, and more case for elsewhere (Burnley have been a great bet in the past...Raya would be a good shout on a wildcard now if anyone was tempted by him over Pinnock as 3rd Bees player). I actually bucked the trend by having Ederson recently. Chelsea's defence gives up plenty of more chances than many defences but many would tell you to have Raya and Chelsea's most consistent defender rather than Mendy and Pinnock.

It’s hard- I actually had Grealish but then he wasn’t played. Problem with City and Chelsea players is they’ve so many good ones you can’t guarantee they’ll play anyone. I’ve been on cheap goalies most of the season but surely Mendy v Norwich is a free 6 points even if he’ll not have as many saves to make as against us!

Basically a free hit and I only go and pick Alonso when any other Chelsea defender would have given at least 6 points if not 9 or 12!

...and I dropped Mount for L-C. At least he had a late assist. More seriously Toney das Capitan for tomorrow, with a Pinnock goal and a clean sheet for Raya.

Some big scores this week but the winner with an incredible 119 points is Keith Chapman.

It remains a tight contest at the top of the league, but Lewis Coghlin is still gamely hanging on to the lead. Just 50 points seperate the top 30 players, so all still to play for.

This week's deadline is Saturday at 11am.

I'm only 220 points off top spot!

However I note that some of the teams in the top few places only have ONE Brentford player. Disgraceful cheating!
Should have a rule you must have at least 4 bees in the team

Anyone with Martinez as their goalkeeper but like to know that he has returned home to South America for the imminent birth of his child. I have put my reserve in, Sanchez of Brighton who are playing Liverpool at Anfield which is a little foolish

Useful, thank you. He was on my list to replace Raya, along with the Leeds keeper.

Maybe I should just go with Fernandez...

I'll do a GW winner when I can, but this week's deadline is 630pm tonight. :)

Dropped my captain Dias as just not doing it past couple of weeks, and James promoted this week. Hoping big score this week as my first XI should be in winning teams except Tielemans

I said I would give them today's game before taking both out. If taking them out means they start picking up points then I will take that all day long
Joking aside I think I’ll give them the game at Newcastle and then at least one will have to go if they don’t start picking up points

I've got two free subs and money in the bank so going to be taking them out I reckon. God knows who I replace them with though

Putting more money into defence and midfield seems to be the way to go this season. He says with Vardy, Toney and Antonio up front currently 😩

Painful , what an idiot. Especially as my GK was Sanchez who got minus 1.

Ha, I had both Cancelo and Livramento starting. I had benched McCarthy for Mendy though.

I think maybe a final week of Mbeumo before selling for Gallagher. Sorry Bryan but you know what you need to do.

I still have the faith with Ethan, Bryan & Ivan in my 11.
My recent transfers have been timed well James in time for his 2 goals then Gallagher in time for his goal

I switched Pontus in for Ethan a few weeks ago just because I’m sure he’s bound to score soon! I’ve had Bryan and Ivan in all season.

10 FPL match rounds in the next 40 days, woohoo!

I'm still fuming from having 28 points on my bench last round though.

Andy Lynam was our winner in another middling week for most managers, 80 points being the winning total,.My team lurches from disaster to disaster :D

This week's deadline is tomorrow at 11am.

Toney points! Patience rewarded!
Think he’ll pick up points against Everton too.
