All signed up and contributing on a regular basis.

So many thanks to Banana and everyone who established the GPG, and has kept it running throughout some difficult years, and now through these amazing times, which I could only dream about all my life.
Having been born one month before we exited the old Division 1, I have literally waited all my life and decades of Bees support, to get to the Premier League!

The GPG is the best fans website, having looked at so many others, which are often so full of limited content and thought.

The GPG has such diversity of comment and thoughts and content - amusing, entertaining, memorable, nostalgic, serious, informative, crazy, and sad, as well as upbeat and uplifting.
Plus, it engages with the club, the people in it, both past and present.
So many facts that I didn’t know, and facts that I can write about that others didn’t know, plus the inside track from "those in the know"!🤫

We may disagree from time time, but our love of Brentford FC always reunites us.

We may have always been regarded by others as Little Old Brentford, but now we are in the big time, and we have always had enormous love in our hearts for this club, as expressed through the GPG.😊

And even more so in this past chaotic year, the GPG has kept us altogether in various ways, which has culminated in this absolutely amazing success!

Come on you Bees, and so much thanks to the GPG.
😊👏⚽️🐝❤️

When I try to join it says please use a correct email, its the correct email.
It won't be the email you have registered on the GPG...

It one payment system didn't work, then try the other one. However there's a strong preference that you don't use Paypal...

Done. I suppose it means I’ll continue to waste my life reading the assortment of largely useless drivel on here ☹️

My wife can never understand why I want to come home and look at what everyone else thinks of a game I've just watched live or their opinions building up to a game or any of the other useless funny (essential) rubbish I look at.

Happy to do this but I don't use PayPal and when I use the card option it just keeps asking me to enter card details, which I already have. Will try this again using a different PC.

Yeah probably a different browser or clear cookies. Alternatively you can send directly to

(which probably would have been a good idea in the first place!)

This happened to me but then I noticed it required a postcode next to the cv number, it then worked.

Glad to have made a small one off donation, as a very senior citizen I have to watch the pennies, but will chuck in some more from time to time, In the meantime carry on the great work that you do to keep the GPG running as it is, without annoying adverts.

Just wanted to re-iterate my thanks to everyone that has contributed.

We now have over 100 contributing every month. Amazing. Thanks again.

However, particularly for those that have contributed via Paypal, I was extraordinary surprised to find out how much they take. It's basically 25% of a £2/month contribution.

If you have the inclination, it would be much more efficient if you can replace a Paypal payment for a recurring payment from your bank account directly into the dedicated GPG bank account at

Thanks all. When's the boat show?

Thought this originally which is why I used Debit Card. Although Credit and Debit cards are less of a charge I assume the best is the method above.

Stripe (the other payment method offered) is considerably cheaper than Paypal. Paypal have a fixed 30p cost in addition to a percentage. That 30p erodes materially into £2 payments. An annual payment would be far better than 12 monthly ones for that reason. But direct bank-to-bank contributions are the best way to avoid costs.

See first post for updated details

Out of interest is there such a thing as "best football message board" at some awards night or something? I know Beesotted regularly are in the running for "best football podcast" or whatever at some do - GPG would have to be the gold standard of message boards - has anyone come across one that comes close?

Important update on this.

I think it's been a surprise to us how generous you have all been so once again, we thank you for your donations and kind messages. With recent events highlighting CRY's important work and BFC's strong links to the charity, we have decided to use the excess we have received and make a donation to them of £625.

Thank you for your continued support.

We've gone a record 2 days now without anybody contributing, so I suspect that this round is over.

Again, I can't tell you all how grateful I am, just kicking myself that I didn't take your cash for the last few decades :(

Thanks all. Over 200 of you have contributed which has far, far exceeded expectations to the extent that we have donated some of the money received to C-R-Y as @Les Beeavinu mentioned earlier.

For those with recurring contributions (or "memberships" on Buy the GPG a Coffee), massive thanks to you for providing future certainty about our income. For those that made one-off contributions, thanks to you for your enormous generosity and we will be back in 50 weeks or so)

Again, thanks all, it is truly appreciated.

Now myself, Les, Edmundo, Paul, Simon, Simon, David, Dan, Chris and Mark are booked into Gordon Ramsey next week for a well-earned slap-up meal for the last 20 years of work (or maybe not....)

Just wanted to say thanks to the 200 people that have contributed so far.

Some things are VERY expensive however. Getting a professional transcription of last night's meetup with Phil is well north of £500. This is largely because he talked for 4 hours!!!! plus the background noise of the pub makes it exceptionally difficult to hear to transcribe.

Plus we have some similar catch-ups coming up soon. cough T cough F.

So if you haven't made a contribution yet, then feel free to do so! :) but no pressure and please don't if you can't afford to do so

What’s the preferred payment method?

I weighed in when you were asking for a contribution, did you prioritise me and ask my question before the plebs?
It was a free for all in which most of the questions were asked and answered. I went through the 100 or so questions at the end and thought that there were no more worthy of asking....

If I had realised it was cash for questions I would have put actual cash in the GPG collection box rather than shirt buttons.

I waded through the thread and my question was one of the better ones so trust you recognised and asked
