I waded through the thread and my question was one of the better ones so trust you recognised and asked
Over 7 A4 pages of questions....

I think I needed to ask fewer than a dozen. And, yes, yours got asked...

(which probably would have been a good idea in the first place!)
Could I make a direct one off payment to this account without using Paypal?

Reason I ask is because for some strange reason the buy me a coffee site hasn’t been able to take my monthly payments ever since I registered a new card. i Tried to re-register the card but still no joy.

I haven’t been debited this month for the usual monthly contribution, but I received a message that it didn’t go through (by direct debit). I haven’t stopped it from my end, but I received a message to say it didn’t go through. It was the day when Facebook, and WhatsApp etc went down, I think the date was 5/10/21. You’re welcome to get your bank to have another try, or communicate accordingly.

Thanks for letting me know, this is issue with Stripe who want the GPG's Certificate of Incorporation or VAT Number before processing further payments. So it might be a little while.

What about the boat repayments ?

seriously is it worth cancelling these and making the bank payments ?
I would rather people make a Standing Order as that means that we bypass Buy Me a Coffee Fees and Stripe/Paypal Fees. Which add up to be about 20-25%.

For a £2 donation via PP we receive £1.73
For a £2 donation via Stripe we receive £1.67

So obviously the strong preference is for Standing Orders direct to the GPG account

Now amended from BMAC to Standing Order in favour of Nana (GPG/No Boats) Inc ! My PayPal went through this month, so starting 2nd Nov.

My d/d has been collected now. I have to say that all this electronic technology that we have no alternative but to subscribe to is proving to be a load of QPR! I had to make a payment last year to my daughter who was stranded in New Zealand and it was like the Spanish Inquisition persuading HSBC to make it, a simple bank transfer between 2 uk banks, but for a decent amount. There must be an awful lot of fraud going on that we don’t hear about.

@Banana - - I have had issues with buymeacoffee not collecting - have cancelled my membership to bmac and set up a s.o. for 1st of each month and sent you a one-off to cover off the missed October and small donation to PG transcription.

In light of other comments, I think I’ll bin off BMAC in favour of a SO.

Is ‘Bananas CNdP fund’ ok for the reference?

I can see one of those complex corporate structures emerging with multiple subsidiaries, and @nana needing to disclose to a register somewhere who has the ultimate controlling interest !
