Why are they selling items such as "Certificate, framed, from the London Borough of Hounslow marking club winning Barclay's League Third Division Championship 1991/92."?

Why not take them to the new stadium?

Great for fans and collectors but there's a lot of stuff that could have been taken to LR. Why not pop the 2008/09 champions trophy on there while they're at it?

Some great stuff, some bizarre stuff and some absolute sh*te. I hope the club still retains the key items of memorabilia as others have stated, but it suggests not :(

Agree with above. I don't see why so many of the framed items are not being transferred.

I can tell you I won't be bidding on an oil painting of Paul Brooker or framed photo of Ricky Shakes! I'll leave the field free for you all on those.

And where have all those shirts been stashed for the past 20 years?!

Yeah lots of odd items you would have thought they’d take with them. Like all the old shirts, seems odd to sell them.

Auction finish time (about 11:30 next Thursday morning??) not great for last minute bids for those working.....
Seems a bit of a strange day/time for it to end....Deliberate to avoid the site crashing......??

This has to be stopped. Who has authorised this vandalism? I’m finding this incredibly sad.

Went for a bid on the stadium plan at the away end (no idea what I would have done with it) doubled the asking price and already outbid. Not sure about the demand for the kiosk menus.

Decanter with Dagenham & Redbridge Crest

Disappointing to give away gifts that are clearly given to us by other football clubs!

I agree. There's some items that clearly, clearly should not be in the sale. They are NOTHING to do with Griffin Park going. And everything to do with the history of our club.

It might be worth something in the years to come, when they kill off another famous Non League club and call themselves something else.

Some very cool items on there.

The specific item I want has already been bid on, so don’t reckon it’ll stay at a low enough price sadly.

Would be great to have something else if not, hopefully there’s a few bits still cheap towards the end of the auction.

Ermmm.....Pass ?
In all seriousness, though, I agree that some of the items should be moving with us to LR or simply not being put up for sale.

There's also some right old cack on there that smacks of desperation. The further you get into the site, the more it becomes like a virtual car boot sale.

I don't understand why this isn't a focused sale of GP fixtures and fitting. What do shirts have to do with it?

To me this is worse than any ticket gate Or multi coloured seat gate or any other of the fifty scandals Over the years . Some of the stuff there is what defines us!! How dare they !! They must got to the trophy room in the new stadium.

Shocking :(

This is awful - sold our souls

Lots of that stuff should be taken to the new ground I thought the turnstiles were going in the bars in the new ground.

I don't understand why at the very least they dont keep all of the collective team photos from the 1920s - surely that is heritage worth keeping. I understand selling the cartoon montages of Jason Pearcey and framed photos of Paul Buckle etc, but surely there should have been some curation before sticking it all up for sale

The club are not interested in making the new stadium like a Brentford home ground its going to be used for many events womans football rugby ect so they dont want Brentford red and white all over the place .

I wonder how many bidders have twigged they will have to pay 30% on top of the winning bid? That's 20% VAT + 10% 'Buyer's Premium' (whatever that is).

It's clearly in the T & Cs, but I bet a lot of people won't have looked before entering their bid.

Where are they in GP now? If there just kept in an old broom cupboard and never seen light of day for years, may as well give to me and put in loft with all the other tat my wife keeps “just in case”
