Someone has bid on the oil painting of Paul Brooker. The club kept hold of an oil painting of Paul Brooker for 13 years. This auction is challenging my perception of reality.

This is just mental. One of the 'hand painted, ceramic signs' that simply says 'Griffin Park' on it and looks like a primary school child did it in detention is about to go for £250.

If you saw it in a jumble sale, you wouldn't pay 50p for it. Unless you were the boy's mother.

Quite liked the idea of the 1929/30 team photo... but £350?!?!?!
Got a postcard of that team and season, if you or anyone wants a photocopy of it

Is anybody else still waiting for a confirmation email following a successful bid? I have a screenshot of the webpage saying I won the item and I will receive an invoice, but no follow up instructions??
I’m in the same position. Guess we will receive something in the next few days

I wonder how many non-payments there will be. I can put a 2 bob programme in a pound shop frame and flog it for £50 if anyone is interested.

Definitely a Photo-copy. Poor description of the item in the sale.

If it was original, you’d be looking at £2000/£3000. (Possibly more!)

It’s Thames FC’s last ever match in the football league. They were liquidated immediately after. Any Thames FC items has a high auction value.

A match programme v Fulham from 1931/32 is up for auction with Sporting-gold. Has a pre-auction estimate of £1100-£1200. I expect that to go for more. The Brentford match programme has a premium on it. As it’s their last ever match and their last home issue. Plus it’s Brentford, of course! lol
It wasn’t the last game. That’s the home programme. I’ve got the away game that was played earlier in the season.

I tend to agree , well a fair chunk at least, question is will they bother contacting next lowest or just skip it. A raffle would be nice.

That's about £700, or it was a few years ago.

Crazy stuff. Would love to scan the lot and upload them to the internet so we can all enjoy them.
Patience. :)

Near enough every home programme in the league and cup - which is available to scan - is done from 1946 to present day. The war years 1939/1946 are all on file, bar one or two, and 1935 to 1939 is doable as they are all available.

It’s going backwards prior to 1934/35 where there are larger gaps.

Plus, it’s the time!

Ah yes. It is. Still, definitely in the £2000 bracket now. There are more Brentford collectors than Fulham collectors. Plus it Thames AFC.

Other auction houses normally ask for your bidder id as the reference, put both down and it’ll be fine. A paid invoice will follow.

Got Jake Reeves silver community match shirt for £50

When you say on file, do you mean scanned in? Anyway, great work whoever did that.

Wonder if it was the chap who used to stand in Brook Road and slag him off at the top of his voice the whole match.... That was until someone told him to him to shut up one day after which he went sheepishly quiet :D

He'll be disappointed then because the picture is actually Ricky Newman

I have literally just now bought one of the programmes that was in the auction for four bob on eBay. (Burnley 31 Oct 81 - my first game).. Thought I would frame it.

Anyone have any info on the Celtic v Bees photo from 1949, that used to be on display in Hive. Looked quite rare if that was an original photo . I’ve not seen it anywhere. Put a bid in at £50 but think it went for +£200 .

It was interesting watching people today who bought those large player, moments and direction boards turn up in a small hatchback thinking, “how the f am I going to fit that in there?!”

Something that may be of interest for anyone who missed out on winning anything...

They thought they had lost my original item so to compensate gave me 2 of the attached signs (not sure what part of the ground they are from sorry):
Brentford Sign.jpg

Anyway long story short my original item turned up and has been delivered so I have no need for either of these.

I would like to offer each of them to the two people who are willing to donate the most to this charity:
https://actionwestlondon.org.uk/about/

If anyone would like them post on here or DM me your bid, and in a day or so I will post them out to whoever has the highest bids. If you would like to wait until the sign arrives before donating that's fine.

Hopefully this 'sort of' auction doesn't break any GPG laws!

Like many - or all - of the pictures sold. They’re all available to purchase from somewhere.

Only ones held back were the signed ones. The rest are all replaceable.

Are these still available? I would offer £50 for one, is that enough?
Thanks
