It was decided there was no room in the new stadium for it. Which of course is nonsense. What happened to the shop & gentleman who worked it?
Steve and Alan still go home and away. What happened to the shop & gentleman who worked it?
There is dialogue still going on, in regard to having programme 'shop' in part of the new stadium. What happened to the shop & gentleman who worked it?
The prayers can be taken anywhere in the ground and can be blessed by anyone sitting close by.Did the prayer room get the go ahead? Maybe could double up as programme shop when it's not prayer time?
Given that it’s taken several months (on here at least) to be missed, seems not quite so nonsensical. With space clearly at a premium, what would be obvious to de-prioritise ?It was decided there was no room in the new stadium for it. Which of course is nonsense.
I thought it was a fairly unique feature of GP, and while I haven’t posted on this before, I’ve often thought of it. Seemed to be fairly well frequented too.Given that it’s taken several months (on here at least) to be missed, seems not quite so nonsensical. Would be interested to know stats on match day programme sales, say, 2019 vs 1999 and programme shop turnover change over the same period but let’s not let some facts get in the way of the opportunity to be angry and critical.
If nowhere else, why would there not be room in the new Brentford megastore, which looks like it has plenty of room in it? Unless of course it is a reverse-Tardis, with less room on the inside than is suggested from the outside ! I loved the programme shop at Griffin Park, and thought it summed up what was special about the place. Often bought programmes that I’d missed due to having to miss games for one reason or another.I thought it was a fairly unique feature of GP, and while I haven’t posted on this before, I’ve often thought of it. My initial query was more concerning whether the chaps who ran it had an online store or something similar. But personally, as a collector of programmes, would like to see it a home found at LR.
Don't think Anyone is getting angry per se.
It's not huge and the space it has I imagine the club want to use to flog their own overpriced merchandise. Can't see they'd be over excited by giving space over to a niche (albeit important niche) fan interest that has no commercial return. If nowhere else, why would there not be room in the new Brentford megastore, which looks like it has plenty of room in it? I can confirm it is the reverse Tardis as far as floor space is concerned. If nowhere else, why would there not be room in the new Brentford megastore, which looks like it has plenty of room in it? If you google "Dick Brentford Programmes" I think you will find the online presence of the Griffin Park Programme Shop.
Not entirely true.If you google "Dick Brentford Programmes" I think you will find the online presence of the Griffin Park Programme Shop.

There is no online presence as such. Thats Dick's own enterprise and what you have shared.
If Brentford fans want to join, the Brentford football club, programme collectors club (BFCPCC), PM me. We plan to have a meeting of all members in due course.
Not a problem, but to be clear that is Dicks own private business.Oops. Sorry if I've done the wrong thing there. I was a bit unsure so didn't want to post a link.
Mmm. No commercial return. Is that true? If the club management were to think like a collector, then they would understand that having sets of programmes is important. Future sales of programmes may be dependent on being able to pick up programmes that have been missed. It’s also an important part of club culture and tradition that surely management want to do their best to encourage and maintain. But it does sound like there are ongoing discussions afoot, so maybe it’s more a case of wait and see what transpires. It's not huge and the space it has I imagine the club want to use to flog their own overpriced merchandise. If memory serves, one of the chaps won a ‘Coca-Cola buy a player for your club’ competition too? Think it saw Chris Moore join the club. I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong.Over the many years that the BFCPCC has been in existence,.all profits made, have been given to the club (Brentford FC).
Yes, that was Steve. If memory serves, one of the chaps won a ‘Coca-Cola buy a player for your club’ competition too? Think it saw Chris Moore join the club. I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong.
