You were on left. Right side and middle let everyone else know. Left side? 🤫
The far left, Love corner, was full of singers.

The left side under the roof was full of moaners 😐

Someone I know is in the process of buying a house in New Road with gardens backing on to the stand
Won't they be living next to a building site for a couple of years? Perhaps they negotiated the price downwards to reflect that?

I’m sure they can live with the eventual 20 per cent uplift when it’s completed. Buying a house round griffin park now is like printing money.

I regularly pass GP and it still feels surreal that this was my second home for the majority of my life. I actually don't miss it as much as I thought I would and the Covid lockdown has a large part to play in this. The biggest regret is we never had the opportunity to give it a proper send off. The BCS experience is a lot better overall but the new fans we have acquired this year are in a way fortunate but equally they will never be able to tell future generations about GP. Still remember when I was a little kid back in the early 80s climbing through a gap in the Royal Oak end to get in to see games. I am just thankful my last memory of GP was a 5-0 win.

Know nothing about building or demolition, but why take 3 sides down, go away and then deal with the 4th ?
Might be a different team that does Braemar as they back on to houses in a more intrusive way than the other stands. The steelwork for New Road hasn’t come down yet.

Wasn't it something to do with Asbestos being found and they had to leave it for a while to get rid of it?

Of course I might have dream this :(

Difficult decision mate.
Maybe better to remember it as it was, rather than what it looks like now.

Exactly, my lasting memory will always be Sheff Wed.

Didnt want the last memory to be one of the tours. A 5-0 win was a perfect send off (without knowing it).

Unlike almost everyone on here I miss it a great deal. Gone round several times afterwards. But then as an historian who can't control myself when I am aware of an old football ground / cinema / railway station / Woolworths no surprise.
Haha I know what you mean. Whenever people asked me directions to somewhere it would have invariably included ‘turn left at the Plough’ or ‘turn right at the Prince of Wales’ or whatever, but since the demise of the local boozer, I’ve lost all my sense of direction!

You are absolutely right that is how we all gave directions. Now it's straight on at the Tesco Express, turn right at the McCarthy and Stone turn left at the new flats. If you're from the McCarthy and Stone development you are now lost.....

Wife watching a film at moment called "84 Charing Cross Road" and she called me. Rewound a little and there was The Griffin and Braemar Road followed by an up shot by Princess Royal looking at corner of stand. Downside was fans coming out of Griffin were wearing blue and white scarfs and meant to be Spurs.

And it looks like it will be repeated on Tuesday at 6:55 on the Great Movies channel

I was working at the club in 85/86 when this was filmed. Anthony Hopkins had a trailer in the Braemar Road forecourt but we never saw him. I was out on the pitch when the directors kept telling the crowd to cheer as if there had been a goal. They must have done that 20 odd times. Funnily enough I’ve never seen the film.

When is demolition due to re-start? It seems to have been on hold since August.
