Geoff Hurst living rent free in the Tartan Army’s head for 55 years and counting 😂

’Course, no mention ever of the very simple fact that the German second goal should have been ruled out for both handball and offside. Too awkward.

And let’s just ignore Roger Hunt wheeling away celebrating the Hurst goal when he could have very easily put it in the back of the net himself. Too awkward.

😂😂😂😂😂
Not to mention the fact that the game finished 4-2. So even if the ball didn't cross the line (which obviously it did), that's still 3-2 to England. Perfectly sufficient to qualify as world champions.

And we even left one of our best ever strikers out of the team to give the Germans a chance.....

....funnily enough....one of my dear old departed dads' favourite memories....was being at Wembley with his pals in April 1967.....England had been on an unbeaten run of 19 games.....and almost exactly the England XI that had won that Final the year before started against Scotland....England 2 Scotland 3......Wembley Wizards.

At which point Scotland proclaimed themselves World Champions. Like a bigger, but equally deluded Leeds United. WACCOE indeed!
