Apologies but this comment seems abit daft.
i think he's trying to say that he seems to struggle a little with the pressing game we want him to do. I guess this is why he hasn't had so many minutes as yet.. You could hear the bench shouting at him.. He went missing for a little bit in pre-season so wonder if he had a knock and is a bit behind on the fitness compared to the rest of the squad.

Not made the bench today. Disappointing as he looked to be a good capture when he signed.

Hopefully he'll get some time on Tuesday. We'll certainly need to rotate a bit with games coming thick and fast. You do wonder though where he'll fit in once Ghoddos arrives, not going to be many spots available on the bench..

His chance will come and I think he will take it . A very long season and for us to succeed we will have to ensure we keep players as fresh as possible which will require intelligent and selective rotation from probably November onwards

Does anybody think a loan to a division one side would help. It certainly has helped Forss.
He's played in the Dutch league at both level 2 and 1, so I don't think he needs that, just to bide his time.

It might, I feel the Div 1 side would need to play a similar style to us. Whether that is plan A or plan B. He needs confidence and for that scoring goals again, which he was doing at Sparta.

Can't see it. It was a lot of money to pay for someone just to loan out to division 3 and he didn't come here for that. I'm surprised he hasn't had more opportunities as I expect he is. Hope to see more of him soon.

Absolutely not. It’s more about the system, I reckon and possibly stamina.
I think part of the benefit of the AFCW loan for Forss was an opportunity to learn the stuff he wouldn’t learn in the B team or 10-15 minute sub appearances. How to work for chances in a team that won’t lay them on a plate, dealing with the pressure of not being on top and being ready to work defensively, gaining the physicality needed to brush off agricultural defenders. These polished off and rounded Forss’s all round game which was already attuned to the luxuries afforded by our team quality and style.

Halil has a slighter build and more trickery and devilment (I think more a future Maupay) so needs a different development route. If there’s a L1 team that looks like us, maybe a loan would work- perhaps Oxford- but the risk is that it’ll feel a backward step when he could have been a regular star for Sparta.

Added to that AB, he would get hacked down, soon enough, at a lower level. I certainly would, if it was my job to stop him.

He has had very little chance thus far. He joined the team in January, was being gently eased in to the BFC / Championship ways of doing things, then came the lockdown. After the restart the BMW was definitely the weapon of choice, and he was restricted to the odd sub appearance. Realistically, he is brand new this season, and Toney and Forss are both ahead of him right now due to their experience in the way we play, and the cloggers he is likely to come up against. Let's see how he gets on with a run of starts, if that can happen.

He'll definitely come good and brings something different to Toney and Forss. Lots of minutes to go round and he'll get his share.

He was out injured for the entire second half of the season

With Toney, Forss, Mbuemo, Fosu, Canos and now Ghoddos now options for the front three I wouldn't be at all surprised if he goes on loan somewhere

I think that would be good for him and us. The talent is clearly there he just needs game time to show it, which we cant offer at the moment. The loan has to be in this country I believe, as I don't think we would learn anything new in Europe. Hope he starts tonight.

He's not going to learn anything about how to fit into our style of play nor are the other players going to learn about his movement if he goes on loan anywhere, is he?

Neither am I but it doesn't mean I'm good enough or ready to be challenging for a spot in the first team.

No, but we are going to need a decent number of players to enable us to survive the rigours of the season and making them unavailable by loaning them out won’t help

Quite right we have from the middle of October a run of 19 games in 76 days that would put the strongest of squads under pressure with possible injuries or suspensions.

We truly have an embarrassment of riches when magicbees suggests loaning out a forward!!

Very disappointed that he didn't get on tonight. Fosu wasn't playing well and I would have thought replacing him was an option.

We won !!

bolstering the midfield was key in the last few minutes. Fosu played his part and scored a penalty too.

It's a shame but I can only assume he's not showing enough in training to be considered. Either that or he's seen as a number 9 only, rather than an option out wide.

With the amount of games upcoming and the possibility of us picking up injuries he must stay in the squad and bide his time. He will get his chances.

If we're opting to give a 17 year old minutes in the Carabao cup rather than him, it does seem like a loan is the most sensible option here - he's 21 in a couple of months.

Not sure he can play RB?? Presumably we gave Stevens minutes in case we need to use him in the coming weeks..

Should we get into a good lead in a game, 3-0 say Halil could be introduced then. But he needs to show something, doing ok is no longer enough he is competing with too many and needs to “fight” for his career

But we were 3-0 up and he didn't get to come on.

I don't think we're banking on him playing a significant role this season. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't go on loan somewhere. There's been ample opportunity to give him proper minutes if he was up to it.

Not playing for the B team today... curious. Seems to be well down the pecking order - surely a loan out would be worth looking into...

Without knowing if he responds to coaching instructions, I expected him to get more game time. Perhaps he will do on Sunday. TF has plenty of balls to juggle. He might be relying on the u21s to give him a run out. That’s just me watching a few minutes on telly.

Going on loan did no good for Marcondes and Sorensen either did it?

I think from what I've seen of him in B team and friendlies, he's struggling a little to get to grips with the pressing side of the game that's required of him. Played in a very different way in Holland. Surprised he wasn't involved in the B team friendly but then there were no first teamers other than Balcombe and a load of trialists. Going to be very difficult to make the bench at the moment. Wouldn't be surprised if we have a friendly in the next week or so for a combination of fringe players, first teamers not on international duty and B teamers..
