If he is 3rd or 4th in line and we don’t envisage him breaking into the team, makes sense we loan him out and get a decent fee down the line?

But I can see MPH getting more minutes because of it. I think MPH will soon be a far better player than Halil will ever be. It is a blessing in disguise
Mph is obviously highly rated but I have never seen him play so I can’t say ....personally in terms of numbers I think it’s a mistake ....u need a large squad the period over xmas is nuts will need all available players

He is not a striker is he, I thought he was a midfielder?
No he is an attacking midfielder. In the game against Eastleigh he stood head and shoulders above Haygarth who played alongside him in a 2x AMC formation. He was excellent having his body open receiving countless passes from Paris Maghoma who was the DM. He would receive the ball and run with it or be able to pass it on.
No, not quite the same as Halil but he should be used far more than Halil would now that we have Wissa

Can we please use the original information rather than these accounts that are simply re-writing the "news". They both reference the original accounts.
Sorry I struggled to translate the text of the tweets in the original accounts. When I click on the text, the whole tweet is grabbed rather than the text. Any suggestions would be helpful

How much have we made on loan fees for him?
More than we paid for him at least! Good business even if it’s not worked out for him with is through a combination of circumstances rather than lack of ability.

I hope he goes there and does well this season, will either come back and offer us some competition or sell him and make us some money

There's been so much mis-/dis-information, it's hard to tell. The best guesstimates I saw were that we originally paid €3m to Sparta Rotterdam, but got back/deducted €0.5m as a loan fee for the time he stayed there. Then he went to Twente Enschede last October (presumably another €0.5m ish) but that was cut short, so who knows, and Galatasaray stepped in with c. €0.35m for the January 2021 loan.

Looks like a done deal for Gala. Like i said before he is talented but don't have the mentality to stay in PL.

Turkish transfer window closes later than uk or euro countries - not tonight. Friday maybe?

What I have seen from Haili so far this year is that he offers more than what Forss gives us and this is no slant on Forss. Toney, Wissa, Bryan and Forss leaves us a bit short up front IMO. So I’ll be sad to see him go out on loan.

Forss is more of a 9 and Halil a 10 though

The Turkish transfer window closes on 8 September, I believe.

One thing that suggests to me that Halil is essentially gone is that, by travelling to Turkey for the international call-up, he’d have to do ten days mandatory hotel quarantine at Heathrow on return. Not something I’d have thought we’d want to inflict on him.

I don't think we've seen enough of him to judge what he offers, but one thing is certain, if Toney gets injured or suspended we'll be in trouble. There's no other player in the squad who can do what Ivan does ?

Yep don’t disagree with that but unless we sign someone we have one option less upfront. That is my concern.

Also probably best to get them to sign him before the internationals... on the small chance he gets injured!

Why do you think this, out of interest?
Low work rate and intelligence. If it goes like this his family will ruin his career.

There is so much drama around him that i am too lazy to explain. :) Google "Halil Marcao fight" if you like Turkish football drama.

His Instagram account reminds me of Benrahmas yet he doesn’t half the natural talent and Said proved he could knuckle down and work hard too. Seems to me he is gifted enough to enjoy the trappings of a professional footballer who is lauded in Turkey but does not seem to have the dedication to go further than that.

Low intelligence? Based on what?

Probably best for all parties that he leaves ASAP. He doesn’t appear to want to be here, and there doesn’t look to be a way of fitting him into the team.
It’s a bit odd to keep loaning him out, so hopefully there’s a mutually agreeable fee at the end of all this.

We keep getting a loan fee for him and his wages paid, so pretty useful income. Its a lesser model than Chelsea. :sorted: Noticed yesterday that Patrick Roberts has been loaned out for 6th time at Man City and is now in final year of his contract.

The Turkish Lira isn’t the strongest currency in the world. Their gate money is in Lira. I rest my case.

Oh well, good luck Halil. Whether it's what you wanted or your Dad's wish. Could have been a contender. I doubt you'll be back.

The Turkish fans seem to insist on there being a permanent option but there is no mention in the Brentford article and Giles says he looks forward to having him back, so no option then?

Wish we did the common thing at the moment and get them to sign a 12 month contract extension when going out on loan - feels a bit like the clock is just running down and he’ll lose the value.

But the DoFs know what they’re doing, so I’ll stop complaining!
