The old thread appears to have got lost in the ether....probably due to lack of interest!

Anyway just to let Bees fans know that on Saturday 24th January, when you guys are away to Macclesfield the Beavers are at home to Thurrock.

As well as our normal 50% of for Brentford Season Ticket holders we are also offering £5 entry to all adults with kids coming in free with them. Also the kids will be get a voucher for a free burger.

There is a maximum of 2 kids with each paying adult but for a fiver you get to watch the game and feed the kids.

For those without kids of their own or able to rent them Bees season tickets holders can still get in for £5 Adults and £2.50 Concessions.:D

Right thats the plug over....on another point suprised to see you haven't been linked with Ben Wright yet....almost every other club seems to be.:)

In a word...yes.

Great first touch, good from dead ball situations and has the ability to make go past players with ease.

Also unlike DJ Campbell is only 19 so has time on his side.

All Bees fans will be, as usual, very welcome at the Bev on the 24th should they decide to come down.

I have watched the last two games Basingstoke and St Albans, both 0-0 bore draws and the football is without wishing to be blunt -not pretty on the eye.I went with a fellow bee on New Years Day and nearly fell asleep.Too much long ball and by-passing the midfield.Wimbledon of 20 years ago.

Ben Wright is an excellent player and god know's why Devonshire left him on the bench that day. Both him and Wells at centre back are capable of playing a higher level.

Nice family community club that has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years.Perhaps i'm just a jinx as they seem to have some good results this season.

 i'm confused, where does he say that?
He did mention there was some free football thrown-in if you're a kid, but who'd want to watch that? As nocoat says, LOASA!

Could be about to lose there top scorer Ben Wright to Fulham
He's already signed for them today, i wonder if Hampton asked for him back on loan?, although reading the clubs website he's not involved in saturdays game.

Now 3 points behind Wimbledon with a game in hand. Still to play the Dons at home as well.

Looking a bit dodgy for promotion as although they are building a new stand it's looking doubtful if it will be finished in time.

Was told earlier in the season they had been given clearance to play in the Conference National if promoted. Don't know if it has changed, but it would a real blow after last weekend's results. Hampton v AFC on April 25 will be the title decider. C'mon the Beavers!

Watched the Beavers a few times this season, what do I choose? A weekend in Darlington-having to drive for hours on end, with the missus and 2mates who will no doubt be peed off cos the Bees still havent won the title and it will all be down to the Loooton game, or a 5 minute drive - park at the station trip to Hampton?? Chips from the chippy enroute and a couple of drinks in the bar ??Know which I'd prefer, know which one I will be doing :(

Play their game in hand on Monday night at Chelmsford, a wein would put them level on points with AFC Wimbledon.

Hampton are at home to Loo Town this afternoon in a pre season friendly, could have been a Conference fixture if things had been different.

Currently 0-0 but Loo Town have missed TWO penalties rofl Craddock the first and Ex Bee Adam Newton the other. The keeper didn't have to touch either. rofl

I thought their keeper saved Newton's penalty? Luton were truely awful today. Gallen and Nicholls constantly argued with the referee despite it being a friendly, and they looked shakey all over the pitch. They have managed a bit of a coup by signing Mark Tyler in goal though - very good keeper in my opinion.

Hampton kick off against Basingstoke tomorrow, and as always any Bees season ticket holders not heading up to Carlisle (good to get that out of the way nice and early!) can get half price entrance to the Bev.

Gutted to be starting against Basingstoke, rather than playing the likes of Oxford, Cambridge etc but that's they way it goes, and as we appear to be pretty rubbish at play off finals gonna just have to win the damn thing instead.

Good luck to the Bees this season.:sorted:

Not looking too good for the Beavers.Another loss tonight sees them second from bottom whilst neighbours Staines Town have a 100% record and are second :(

Surely time for Devonshire to throw in the towel :fishing:

They have got their own youtube channel now, which is in the process of being set up.

http://www.youtube.com/HRBFC
I pity anyone who has to watch that.I watched the 2nd half there Saturday as i had to work until 3.40 and it is just down the road.It is total long ball and awful to watch. The shame is they have some good players who can play football but they seem more intent on bypassing the midfield to get the ball up front as quick as possible to the two strikers. One reminds me of John Fashunu big, strong and physical and the other is very quick.Whilsy being a local club i wish them well but the football in not attractive at all.

Finished the game with 9 men, John Scarborough and Dean Wells, who earlier gave Hampton the lead, were sent off.
