I'm not sure if anyone noticed but he scored our only goal in the play off final. I don't think he's had a break since playing in the World Cup.
No break wasn’t the season suspended for a few weeks???

I suspect he might be on his way this Summer. With a year left on his contract he’s likely too old to earn and extension so we might cash in. If this happens we need to bring in a ready made player, I like Roserlev but he’s not a starter yet.

Why would we have extended his contract, just to move him on? We need wise old heads in the squad and he's the most experienced player we've got.

We do need that - but in truth, that experience has not enabled him to shine on the pitch. He was awful in the PO final and in the most recent defeats, passing incredibly poor. We really needed to rely on him in those moments of promotion and he didn't perform. Great servant for the club, but i think we need a fresh RB.

I doubt the club bases any decision on a single game.

His downturn in form seemed to co-incidence with Bryans.

There was no connection between both of them at all. Where as before, overlaps, interplay, tippy tappy.

I don't know but the plan was probably to leave if we didn't get promotion and would be more to do with the right place to secure his family's future in terms of wages and location. Not at his best since lockdown return, possibly not quite 100% fit ,looked a bit jaded, but we forget how he makes us much less vulnerable to far post headers.

I don't see him going anywhere. He signed an extension of 1 year as we/he wanted him to be an older head within a squad with genuine promotion credentials.

We were promotion contenders this season and will be next season. I can see one more year with plenty of appearances for Henrik whilst we develop Roerslov or identify a replacement if Roerslov doesn't step up.

I agree he had a stinker at Wembley though with 4 others that spring to mind.

He’s not great defensively and we do get caught out down his side. Good man to have in squad for sure but we need better IMO. Not sure Roerslev quite ready.

Offers loads of experience and added height across the back line. On his day he is a top performer and whips in balls.

Byran unfortunately was missing most games after lockdown so he performed well considering.

More than happy to keep him as a starter RB. Why throw 3-4 million because your have to spend that to get better than him.

I wouldn't sell him as he has just had his best season, is our most experienced player, and could probably shift to centre half. Plus we will need more depth with such a cramped schedule next year. But to improve we need a full back who is better on the ball and better defensively, or at least one of the two.

As one of the older players in the squad playing in a particularly high energy position I just think he ran out of gas last few games. He looked totally shot in the final, passing particularly poor. I would expect him to start next year but for Roerslev to play regularly so Henrik gets some rest and to see if he can step up in the longer term.

He's one of those that I wouldn't be upset if he moved on and we found an upgrade but equally am more than happy to keep him on and fine with him being first choice next season.

Their has been talk about him playing in a more central defensive role though not sure how that fits in. I did wonder if he was carrying an injury for the latter games of the season to be honest as the rotation with Roerslev and yes he certainly didn't have the levels of energy in the last few matches. I do have a lot of time for the bloke though, been a great signing for us.

I think this is it. We would never in a million years have expected the likes of Dalsgaard and Pontus to play so many games in such a short space of time so it’s no wonder that errors crept in towards the end. We’ve often struggled with a mere 3 games in a week so 13 in just over a month was always going to be tough...

Pontus' errors were more costly...

I only remember one. Were there others?
Barnsley's first goal, poor positioning that made his clearance weak and the resulting shot went through him, ISTR.

TBH, neither Henrik nor Pontus stepped up and showed any leadership when it really mattered.

The only one who really did was Norgaard.

Think Henrik will still be around next season. May not be a regular but would provide excellent backup in RB and CB positions. His experience could play an important part next season in a young squad.

This thread's gone a bit weird. I'll wager he'll start more games than anyone else this coming season.

Don’t like to say it but think we might need to replace Henrik before the end of the window.

He had as poor a game as I can recall in a long, long while. I'm not ready to put him out to pasture yet but he does look like he's playing on empty at the moment.

One of the problems we also have is that he is considered one of the leaders in the team, yes he wasn't great today but was the only one who showed a bit of leadership in that second half. If we did replace him how do we replace the leadership aspects as right now I don't see anything coming from anyone else.

My opinion is that he knows he has slowed up and can get done on the outside so stays wider, leaving a gap on the inside which Jansson is too slow to cover. It's a worrying weakness in our defence imo.
Yup spot on. That just about rules them out both playing together unless one of them is carrying an injury. Is it worth trying Fin Stevens at RB for a test game and instructing Jansson not to try and cover more than he would for an experienced RB

I think Henrik's legs might be planting a seed of retirement from the right back position tonight. Modern day full backs needs to be so much more athletic than he can now offer.

Maybe a switch inside with Pontus struggling.

He has been a good servant for the club. With both him and Pontus we might come to a crunch point soon where we see how hard headed we really are.

I thought he offered most at the back, especially coming forward. I only really saw the second half, admittedly.
