That right side is a massive worry. Clearly we've seen that with Goode coming in and I guess we were hoping Roerslev would push on. Any idea how long he'll be out? We can't possibly play Dalsgaard every game as he's currently struggling with two games in a week.. Wonder whether this result will focus Ras and Phil's minds and we'll push for some cover/replacement there?

I think Fin Stevens would be an improvement, I know he is only 17. But as they say “if he is good enough, he is old enough”

Given that Henrik (and Pontus), both rested for the midweek game, put in very poor performances Sunday, and with Mads Roerslev recovering from injury and Goode not really up to speed, there really needs to be some consideration giving the the right side of defence.

Goode seems to have a few mistakes in him , maybe needs a little more time to adjust to a higher league

Why do you think Goode is not up to speed?
On the few occasions I've watched him, he seems comfortable doing big clearances and that type of 'ordinary defending' but he does seem uncomfortable playing our style in the defensive unit, anticipating the actions of others. Not a problem but he needs to keep training with the others to get there. My concern is that he's probably OK with an experienced head alongside him (similarly Pontus with Mads) but Dalsgaard (and Jansson) looked really poor yesterday and, if you're concentrating on your own game, you're not helping another.

Did you see the Preston goals?
Once was enough. I got a picture of incisive attacking and general confusion from the midfield back. I see Mbeumo making bad defensive errors in getting easily tackled and passing to them, which is something I do not associate with him and general weediness all round that area, but no, I didn’t particularly pick him out. I was watching on a small screen granted.

First goal, cross from deep, Dalsgaard easily beaten in the air.

Second goal, again comes from HD's side. Mbeumo is under pressure and Henrik does not sniff out what it felt like we could all see happening in slow motion. Not alert to the danger. As such he doesn't attempt to show for the ball or offer help, nor does he close down the cross when possession is lost.

Third goal comes from the massive space in between Henrik and Pontus. Awful. No communication between our two most senior players. Henrik doesn't exactly bust a gut to get back across either, so Potts has all the time in the world to set himself and pick his spot.

I accept that the “two senior players” should anticipate others mistakes and provide solidity, but after their third goal it was none other than Dalsgaard showing leadership. Clearly there was space, but much of that was caused by not seriously challenging for the second ball in the approaches. All over, in fact. I think of Rico, the King of the Second Ball.

We should of addressed this weeks ago, massive issue yesterday and I don't think it will be the last time we see sides attacking our right side with force.

I think a lot of the time Pontus and Henrik can do very well by anticipation and positioning but both have the turning circle of a supertanker so if they are caught out they can’t (unlike Pinnock and Henry) react. I thought Fosu did well v Fulham so it might be that the next fortnight is a good time to get him focusing on winning and holding that RB berth. There will be slower teams who Henrik will still be good to play against.

Alternatively as MBS and Goode look decent prospects, in games where we don’t have Norgaard we move to 3CBs given that we have fast attacking wide players in Henry and Fosu behind the front 3.

He hasn't been great this season, yesterday he was awful. I believe we need somebody to challenge him, young Mads may not be ready until xmas. This should have been addressed weeks ago, not on xfer window day.

To be fair, he's an inverted left winger and a pretty right footed one at that so there's no reason he couldn't be an option at RB if he keeps up what he showed the other night.

That said, I agree that it's bonkers to suggest he should be our first choice RB.

If I'm not mistaken, have we not had similar issues with Dalsgaard before where he's come back looking absolutely shattered (after the WC)?

Him and Pontus are a huge worry though.

Fosu had a decent game at full back against Fulham

First half he was very good but he had trouble against Lookman. I'd say if we're looking at him to be our first choice Championship RB then we've got bigger issues than I thought.

Goode is not a right back.

Yes we were collectively sh*t on Sunday for at least 25 minutes but lets not throw the baby out.

He is 31 now and his days as a rb are numbered.TF has even said that he should be looking to convert to cb in the near future if he wants to extent his career.

I'm not going to defend Pontus completely because he has been less than great since he came back from lock down but HD's lack of pace is causing big problems down that side as it's pulling him out of position to cover HD's lack of pace to get back when our attack breaks down.
I think the club rate really rate Roerslev and it's just bad luck he got injured otherwise i think we'd have seen a lot of him this year.

Dalgaard and Jensen remained on the bench in the Denmark's 3-0 win in Iceland.

Keeping them fresh for the England game?

The Danish manager didn't think they had anything to add to those on-pitch; he brought on a defender to close out the win, but not HD.

What an enjoyable , interesting and intelligent post-match interview from Henrik, tonight.
Very! Seems to act as a mentor for some of younger players and loved way talked about Mads.
What a great, positive influence to have at the club... I’ll bet he’s earmarked for the coaching staff at BFC or FCM when he hangs up his boots.

two great long-range efforts too - that shot late in the first half would've been a beauty!
