Been one of my favourite bees for the few seasons. Thought he'd have added a bit of experience and drive next season, if not a first team regular, so I'm sorry to see him go. Very pleased for him however, hope he enjoys moving back home.

Thanks Henrik. When I saw that press interview he did in the week leading up to the PO final I thought that if everyone in the squad was as relaxed and calm as Henrik came across in that interview that we would win. Top player and pro and wish him all the best and welcome back anytime in my view!

I was always pleased to see his name on the team sheet. He played with a smile on his face which sometimes belied the steely resolve with which he competed.
He was one of the leaders in the group and a warrior on the pitch.
Good Luck Henrik and thank you ! 👍 🐝

Good luck Henrik. Made a real difference having you back for the play offs particularly when you consider who was unavailable.

It’s all been said. By definition, the best RB I’ve seen for us in 56 and a bit years of support. I’ll particularly miss his face and ‘lederhosen’ slapping routine, immediately before kickoff!

I hope in time he gets seen as one of the Brentford greats. A major part of our massively improved defensive performance, and huge leadership on the pitch. Hope FCM is a good place for him to end his playing days. Like the commentator above, will not forget his pre-final interview. What a man.

I guess he’s done want we would all do. Put his family first. I’m sure he would have loved a season in the premiership but hey he is likely to get a shot at the champions league.
My only regret is that asking the club several times to make it happen we didn’t get a signed World Cup shirt from him as the Brentford player to play in the World Cup.
I wish him well.

Top player, made a significant contribution in the play offs this season, I wish Henrik all the best. Top professional made his experience tell whether at RB or CB. The right time to leave for both him and the club.

Don't normally feel much emotion when a player moves on, but in the case of Henrik, he was a major part in our amazing era to be a Bee.

I thought he kicked on again this season and was an integral member of the team, squad and club. Always remember him fondly. All the very best champ.

All the best Henrik, without doubt the best right back that I've seen, thought he was brilliant at Wembley.

Any idea what sort of wage he might be on at FCM?

Made a great contribution to our success over the last couple of seasons, especially with his decision NOT to shoot agains Bournemouth a couple of weeks ago which led to...... :)

I bought a Denmark shirt when got over excited about having a Bees player at the 2018 World Cup.
Good luck to him in the future !

What a great 4 years he gave us and instrumental in getting us over the line in the play off campaign.

Also an absolute gentleman off the pitch, a credit to himself, the club and his family. He will be missed and best of luck to him in the future and hope we see him in some capacity back at the club in future.

Expected this a year ago. To get the extra season from him was brilliant, he gave 110%, contributed well, and the fact he was our captain on the pitch when we got promoted will go down in history. Captain material, great leader and a good player.

As mentioned on his other thread, I had been harsh on him at the start of this season. He wasn’t suddenly a poor player overnight but I felt he had gradually just become less effective as a flying wing-back. I was cringing at some of the early season games. In the end, he tweaked his game (and we tweaked our setup) to better accommodate his stronger points and he did pretty well on the right of a back four whilst Roerslev was out. But where I felt he really excelled was as a wide centre back in our 3-5-2. It’s the ideal position for him at this stage of his career and where I had envisaged his contribution to be from when his deal was renewed. He was superb there.

In the end, sad to see him go. But two excellent young right-backs in our squad and probably another to come in is exciting.

I had forgotten that. Yes, an absolute legend and that ensures his place as one of our greatest ever. And i loved the way he shoved the captain's arm-band back onto Pontus' arm afterwards. Not just a footballer, but a damn' nice bloke too.

I remember him getting his first league goal for us (header from a corner, of course) against Forest away. Hard to believe how much has happened in those relatively few years.

The first of our recent great back unit of 6 (including Raya and Norgaard) to leave and one of only a few Bees to score at Wembley.

My abiding trademark memory is of him routinely bringing the ball forward in the RB position and then suddenly cutting inside an opposition player, leaving him for dead and instantly creating a fresh option for us in attack.

Thank you, Henrik, for your great service and all the best for the future.

Solid & dependable, he was the right back equivalent of Ronseal.
Good luck to him back in Denmark as he always came across as an extremely nice guy. 👍🐝

How do you know they didn't? Seems odd to blame the club, sounds like from others he wanted to go back to Denmark and would have gone last summer but stayed to have another crack at promotion.

Just be grateful we had an extra season out of him, he was incredible value in the first place, I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking to him a couple of years ago, came across as such a nice unassuming guy, played a massive part in getting us to our final and rightful destination, Good luck to him back home with family and friends and also with FC Midtjylland, I'm sure he will be a good asset for them as he was with us, A Bee's legend in my eyes (y)👏

Im really gutted about this :(

Good luck Henrik and thank you for all you years of service. Found him a little frustrating to watch at the start but with time i grew to love watching him play for us. Commitment, drive, leadership and a fantastic ability.

Colin was a loss but Henrik has filled those boots and some.............. He will be forever remembered as one of the best right backs we've had.

The club have a big task IMO in replacing him. Those celebrations from HD at Wembley will always live with me, arms outstretched running towards the East stand. You could tell how much it meant to him. He had the look of "job done" on his face. He played with a smile and that was key in our PO win.

He was instrumental in getting us up.

Bees Legend.

All the best HD. 🇩🇰 :sorted::cry:

Is it a free transfer or are we paying ourselves a fee for him?

Don't see why that is any concern of ours.
I was just interested to know how we compare with FCM (and the Danish Superliga generally) now in terms of wage structure. Based on not a lot I always had a sense we were pretty similar but possibly are now going to overtake. Wondered if HD would be taking some form of cut going to FCM vs staying here (assuming a contract was available to him he wanted it).

Always played with a smile on his face. Just oosed the pleasure of playing. He was doing what many of us wished we were good enough to do. You just knew that he was enjoying playing. How many players just look miserable when they are playing. You just knew he is a nice person and confirmed by those who have met him. Thanks for being part of the greatest period we as Bees have enjoyed. Go with our thanks and if you get a chance come and see us when we are at LR to let us show our thanks for your time here. Best wishes to you and your family for the future

Was so happy when he came across to the stand at the end of the game last Saturday and threw his arms up to the crowd and roared, in the same way he celebrated when we beat the Muff the week before. Always like the way Henrik played and sad to see him go but with all the best hopes and wishes for his future.

Very good player is Henrik, a great signing and a credit . Loved watching him play a tough defender that also had some class. Done this club proud, and as some have said he is up there as one of the best . God bless you and your family Henrik, legend.
