Will be going to Chertsey games until this whole league mess is sorted out then .....if you can go into a packed pub then why not into a packed football ground which also has the advantage of being outside....proper mental and time proper decisions were made instead of following project fear all the way down the line

Exactly. And people are still travelling on cramped planes breathing in recycled air.
Makes no sense, yet again.

But if none of the Top 6 Leagues will allow fans then the Div 7 Leagues and below will get a much higher number of people turning up

Isn't all air recycled? And, besides, it doesn't work like that.

Not all air is recycled, okay, as long as you are happy travelling in a small confined space with a load of people from different areas, that's your choice.

East Thurrock ok then
Yep. Anything below Conference South. It's inevitable that this will lead to some further challenge from clubs.

You cam watch FC United who have an average attendance of more than 2,000 but not Dorking Wanderers who get about 500.

There shouldn't be any packed pubs (although I'm sure you're right that there are).

If there are, then the landlord should be losing his licence.

Its now a metre plus, not 6 feet. It's all about mitigation to reduce risk. Nothing will be perfect, but if pubs, restaurants, cinema can mitigate risk, why cant football stadia?

A lot of Wetherspoon's are packed as the managers are not enforcing anything and there are not people counting on the doors.

This is useful information but how many more tests are being carried out. In the early days of lockdown I could not get a test. The more tests are carried, surely the more people will prove positive?.

In years to come, we see how many cancer tests and important operations were delayed. Effecting their treatment and impacting their live chances. Plus the many hundreds of thousands thrown out of work. To date over 40k people have sadly lost their lives according in to the government, every life is one too many but in context we have 65 million in this in country. Something about all this does not add up. There not telling us the truth.

No the more people who are acting like the pandemic is over, the more people who test positive

The numbers in April are not really comparable as you only got tested if you were in a hospital or some care homes

And what is the relevance of that exactly?
Replying to the post saying the number of positive tests had gone up, I said the overall number of tests has gone up and that is why the number of positive tests have gone up.

Completely relevant to post I was replying to.

You just can’t help yourself can you, having sly digs to every post I make, why don’t you have a day off.

Lots more people being tested so more results.
More tests equals more results, more results being positive or negative.
I said the overall number of tests has gone up and that is why the number of positive tests have gone up.
Can anyone make any sense from the above explanation(s)

Forget the "sly digs" accusation, I am simply attempting to find out what you are talking about. Is this the new "fake news" or "horrid question". Everytime you post a nonsense and you are asked for a clarification we are now going to get "stop the sly digs". Well they are not "sly digs" they are requests for clarification.

In, ahem, more concrete news

"Millwall Supporters’ Club organised a recent meeting with CEO Steve Kavanagh & Communications Director Billy Taylor, and the club confirmed that 5,994 fans will be allowed back inside The Den – which is 30 per cent of its original capacity – from 1st October, subject to government guidlines."

It’s not that difficult.

The more tests you do the more positive results you will get. The bigger the net the more fish you will catch.

You know exactly what I mean, just give it a rest aye. Surely you have got better things to do than trawl my posts.

Given the final phrase, it doesn't seem to mean much, only that Millwall's CEO can calculate percentages.

Possibly or it could be that their CEO has some information from the SGSA is to what may be coming down the line.

Or that they are planning ahead in positive fashion and informing their fan base?

I would have thought that the main details are going to be about entry and exit, rather than a percentage attendance, which will depend on each certification authority to make some individual calculation (perhaps the government can find a private contractor mate with an algorithm?).

Yep. The North Stand is going to be a big problem.

For us, I can't see any stand being more of a problem than others, given the number of aisles and exits. It just needs discipline and a controlled evacuation (I can manage that most mornings), with a system for sections to leaving in a sequence and follow a one-way system from their exit.

Does the very limited space when you exit enter the stand not make it more difficult?

I don't think so. A controlled exit, perhaps 1-2 blocks at a time, will quickly disperse. The steps in the north west corner up to Lionel Road are fairly wide.
