There was a lot of noise about sorting out disabled access at Kew Bridge station once the ground was built. Has anything been done?
SWR failed to secure funding for Kew Bridge Station improvement. I know BFC were supporting improving the station as outlined at a LR fans forum. The station seems to be exactly the same to when I used to go there in the 90s. I thought it was part of the plan to develop the station.
Thank you was wondering why nothing had changed.SWR failed to secure funding for Kew Bridge Station improvement. I know BFC were supporting improving the station as outlined at a LR fans forum.
Not as big as the gap between us and QprPlease can all our frail fans be careful exiting trains onto the platform as it is a big gap and caught me out first time.
Take care.
Probably easier to walk it mate, if there’s c.7000 people crossing the A4!Well we're in North Stand. So I hope it will be a quick hop up the new steps and turn right down to the A4 and then back to the Globe.

As opposed to hopping do you mean?Probably easier to walk it mate, if there’s c.7000 people crossing the A4!
That’s me! Olympics enthused, 100 metres on one leg and stick, Paris 2024, I’ll be there! As opposed to hopping do you mean?
will be carnage first few games until everyone works out there own little route/shortcuts etc etc....pandemonium at the arse game i reckon especially as it will be dark when leaving too....the people who walk far too slowly and block every oppurtunity to get past em will have to be locked in the ground until i leaveAll will play out in time but I would expect the North standers to have quite the task getting to those steps, especially the fans more towards the section nearest the away fans. The West Stand section nearest those new steps are likely to spill out into the area by the steps resulting in queues back. I think the only thing for it is a pint and watch results come in on the concourse screens until everything settles down![]()
90% of our fans are over 70. Cut them some slack?will be carnage first few games until everyone works out there own little route/shortcuts etc etc....pandemonium at the arse game i reckon especially as it will be dark when leaving too....the people who walk far too slowly and block every oppurtunity to get past em will have to be locked in the ground until i leavelol
yep you are but even i cant remember when that was now !! ......but they are defo no longer with us erm cough cough lol apart from Moribee and Nanny5890% of our fans are over 70. Cut them some slack?
Or am I still thinking of when we were sh*t.![]()
...........yes..............take care old fella.................Please can all our frail fans be careful exiting trains onto the platform as it is a big gap and caught me out first time.

Going to have to dash to Brentford I think as need to get train back to Yeovil. Can't say my Fiancé will be happy with a "can you come collect me" phone call if I miss last train home lol she's not best pleased with collecting me around 1am from Yeovil station as it is lol
What a sensible idea..........which means it will probably never happen. They should build a number of access from the platform straight up to lional road, including a disabled way.
Will cut down massive on congestion and time, and less delay for trains
Hope this doesn’t lead to people leaving early to catch the train, ala Brightoni will tell you now that anyone expecting to get anywhere near that train station within half n hour of the game finishing when we have full crowds is living in cloud cuckoo land.....it was bad enough with 4k for bmuff game so quadruple that and chaos....the road itself outside the station will be even worse with people in it as pavement is so narrow and no cars moving.......i for one will be heading back to brentford station which will be far far easier and quicker......kew bridge station is like a village local station and entrances are far too small to cope with a ground so close to it.....half a mile away would be betterlol
They do but I'm up to Kew for 5pm to pop in and see my 92yr old nan before game and then a more than a few beers at the pub before lolDon't Berry's Coaches serve Yeovil or our (own) West Country minibus?.
The arch isn't open yet and don't think it will be for a while yet, possibly until the flats next to it are finished. An access has been built to/from the ground from the London bound platform. This uses an arch that was originally a route to platforms that were on the north side of the railway triangle. Whether it is open yet, I don't know.
The southbound platform is of course much more difficult. There is a route for a path to the main road from about half down that platform but it would still, from the look of it, be steep so not fully accessible. Sorry to hear SWR were unsuccessful in getting funding for Kew Bridge station improvements.
