Awful game...1-0 either way....hopefully us (Toney) ..I hate early kick offs and we usually do crap in em too so here’s hoping 🤞 it won’t be one for the neutrals that’s for sure ;)

I was feeling quite relaxed then realised that football is back. And now the worrying starts. I would like to see a clean sheet even at the expense of a victory, but will opt for 1-0 (Toney pen 7)

God only knows! Obviously hope for a win, but it would surprise me if we get it.

Really ? wouldn't surprise me at all.

 To me, that reads that you would prefer a 0-0 draw to a 2-1 win. You can't have meant that surely?
On reflection a touch histrionic perhaps but I believe that unless we sort out our defence we will probably finish 5th or 6th so if this desired clean sheet kickstarts a run of defensive stability it will be for the greater good.

Goals from open play would be lovely. We’ve had time on the training pitch for Fosu, Bryan, Canos, Ghoddos and Marcondes to get in the grove.

Draw does nothing for us so I’m hoping to see a return to an attacking display and less hoofball.

Hudders 1-2 Bees
Toney x2

hoofball ??
An ancient sport, similar to what we know as football and originating in the north of England in the late 19th century. Still played to this very day, mainly in the north but not exclusively. In the south for instance, Leyton Orient excel.

Yep, long direct balls up to Toney with no support anywhere near him. And long throws that I’m not sure have returned anything all season.

No problem with us mixing it up, but the default has been direct recently. Just don’t believe it suits us.

Think that was more down to the pitches and teams playing high press against us. Noticeably more football played against Forest last time around.. Agree re the long throw, can't stand it, though we have scored from it once I think..

I'll go along with the predictive expertise of such knowledgeable pundits as Nick Logan, Ian West & Mr Cynical.

I normally expect defeat but it’s lovely and sunny today so a nice spring walk in the park for us. After shock defeats to Sheff W and Brum for Watford and Swansea making it officially Very Good Friday, 0-4 (MBS, Mbeumo, Canos, Toney- 2 assists for Bryan, one for Raya as he chucks one out for Ivan to lob their keeper from halfway).

Why not join me and vote for a Birmingham win on the planet swans forum?
No need to log in to vote.
I’ve done it for their last two losses. Let’s make it a hat trick.
Must be quite demoralising for their players to see their fans are mostly backing them to lose.

Must win for top 2 - they hammered Swans a few weeks ago but have generally been poor so 2-1 us or 1-1

At least we'll know what the others have done who all play on Friday and know what we have to do. Had a dream last night we won 3-1 but all my dreams are confusing and I can never remember them so it could have been the other way round.

I’m looking forward to this one actually. I feel like we’re now in a position where perhaps the pressures off to some extent, we’ve done the long slog and this run of games could be seen very much like the final run of games last season. There’s no point us just sitting back and hoping others slip up. I feel we can let the team off the leash a little in an attacking sense and if we do we could gain some real momentum. We'll have had a bit of time on the training ground for most of our attacking players and those that have been away have done well and will come back buzzing. Josh back soon and hopefully Henry not too far off... Just one last push....

Should Watford win again (and it's looking likely), anything other than victory tomorrow and Norwich/Watford is a done deal to me. Anyone saying it's not a must win game needs their bumps felt. 🤷‍♂️

4-1 Bees. Brentford are back. :sorted:

I’ve also just voted “no” in their should Cooper be sacked poll.
Let’s back their boss.

I won't be able to watch today as unfortunately the internet connection isn't set up yet in my new house.

That said, looking out the window just now it promises to be a lovely sunny day so I predict a bright performance and a 2 goal Bees win 👍🏻🐝⚽😎🇮🇪

Im at the bloody hospital again which is doing bugger all for my PTSD so a Bees win would be nice to be discharged to. Missus is picking me up from Castle Hill Hospital at about half time-ish and wont be home till the game is over. hoping for Ivan to get to 30 goals today us to win by 3 - something and with Swansea losing Watford aren't that far in front of us. We came from further back last season so I have deffo got a positive mojo going regarding football. Not so much with the rest of life and health.

Perfect time this one for me, just no bars open and all the stores have an alcohol ban. Took the plunge and bought 20 warm SML for 1300 pesos (20 quid). 4 in the freezer and the rest in the fridge. Must win and will win, hard fought 2-1 Toney tap in and a Pontus header, give away a goal in 85th minute for the usual panic. COYB!!!

Do you have a decent 4g contract? If so you can tether.

For once I'm frightened to even watch it, let alone predict it. Deep breath.... 1-7, the Bees. Anything less will be unconvincing.

8-3 to the Bees but I’d take 0-1 and Toney 50 yard free kick that catches the keeper off his line

I may be wrong but I feel Ghoddos & Fosu must start, we were creating and scoring when they have played from the beginning. In our last 4 games we have scored just 4 goals and 3 of those were penalties.
We have won all 5 games they have started, the only 5 they have started together in the Championship (they did both start v Leicester in the FA Cup)
7-2 v Wycombe
3-2 v Bristol C
4-1 @ Middlesboro
3-0 v Shaff W
2-1 v Stoke
19 goals in 5 games

Happy Easter to everyone.

I am hoping for a 2-`1 win after fielding best team possible putting in a good performance. Ivan to score number 29 and 30 million, whoops, |I mean goals. Freudian slip.
