Impressive and excellent 50 from Crawley. Playing the Sharma role. Exactly what England needed.

Exciting first session. Which I think will continue to grip. This is going to be a low scoring test.

Low scoring games are best. If we can get to 150-180 I genuinely think we are in this game (providing the ball moves under the lights). If not, things will get very messy very quickly

Excellent first session on day 1. India would be delighted taking 4 wickets after losing the toss. But as I said it was a good toss to lose.

Thought Crawley played superbly and the right way. Stokes should play a similar role now. Take the attack to India.

No surprise that the spinners have taken three wickets.

Stokes should never have been given out by any top umpire there. Disgraceful.

Stokes a sitting duck. At least try and attack the spinners. If stay on the back foot against the quality of the Indian spinners you will eventually get out.
At least England will get to bowl under lights. Anderson time.

This is it for me. We need to be more proactive in playing the spinners - both in defence and attack.

Calm down. Was exactly the same way Kohli was given out in his second innings last time.

Could do with something from Archer here, he's done absolutely nothing with the bat in his England career so far and yet finds himself in at number 8.

I haven't sadly seen enough of the game today but surely with DRS we can see if they are in or out? Anyway, seems a shambles so far.

A shambles of indian umpiring! So many "umpires call" which would have never been given out by the international panel.

England one huge advantage is that will probably have almost a full session under lights bowling at India.

Maybe, although in retrospect, I think Jimmy would have been more than happy to be bowling first session today.

The umpire has trigger finger. That ball was spinning away from the left hander and only just hit him in line.
I know.

The next voice you will hear will be from Indian Bee....
