Is Craven Cottage our happiest hunting ground?

I was thinking about this.

My first awayday at Craven Cottage was as a young lad (16) on a lovely Summer's day in August 1982. We won 2-1 thanks to a Barry Tucker penalty and a Roger Brown own goal. Since that day (and including that result) our overall record at Craven Cottage is:

P W D L F A
18 8 9 1 30 17

That includes 2 visits in the League Cup (won one, drew one) and two in the Football League Trophy (also won one, drew one)

Our only defeat was back in 1990 (lost 1-0)

I know that's far from being a complete history of Fulham v Bees but it is some record - and it's always a really good day out!!

Since in the Championship we've only lost to them once and that was at GP.
Lost at home in the league in 2016/17, but also lost at home in the League Cup first year back (which was more than made up for later in the season by Jota-in-the-last-minute and the Bank Holiday hammering).

Since we've been in the Championship we've played both Fulham and QPR in 5 of the 6 seasons (14/15 the ra ras were n the Prem and 18/19 Putney paid the Prem a brief visit). Our record in West London Championship derbies is pretty decent.

QPR 10 7 1 2 21 12 (22 points)
FFC 10 6 3 1 19 9 (21 points)

We did lose 1-0 at home to FFC in the League Cup but won 4-1 at the Bush in the LC.

Not as satisfying of course, but I suspect the actual answer is Spotland, where our all-time record against Rochdale is:-

W 9 (includes one FA Cup, our only cup game ever against Dale)
D 5
L 1

We also beat Fulham at Craven Cottage in a London Challenge cup final match result 2-1 in our favour. Can't remember date but it was my first visit to the Cottage.

Yes. furious with that 2-0 defeat in January 1999. Andy Woodman's debut.

Not quite the same ring to it - and as you say, not as satisfying, but I did always enjoy awaydays to Rochdale (not that I want them back - unless it's an FA Cup quarter-final maybe or 'dale join us in the Premier League)

" 'dale join us in the Premier League"

As if!

That's about as likely as the whole World having to live through one of those disaster movies.

Oh wait....

Does anyone remember the time when we took over Putney under the W£bb era?. I think Denny Mundee was playing up front and it was a bank holiday?.

I can remember reading in a football magazine like Shoot, that Brentford fans set up a Rochdale Supporters Club.

Yep, often talked about. New Years Day 1994. 0-0. If only we'd have score, the whole ground would have been rocking.
