On my final warning
Then they can find another place for them. The club can walk it like it talks it.Correct

Just to add, it might be replaced with digital signage but at present that costs too much.??
Replaced by “signage” relating to the successful partner??
Pre-pandemic, the expert advice was that naming rights in the PL were worth c. 5x (p.a.) those for a Championship club. So a big ask for someone looking to back a returnee to the top flight after 74 years. A few more days/nights like Friday and - as you say - it will seem a very cheap marketing opportunity for a big corporate.Surely the coverage from Friday night, and subsequent publicity, will have added a few quid onto any naming rights deals??
Hope so, thought Susan was incredibly cringe. Obviously not my money/finances but I would be more than happy with BCS and the stands names after legends. “The xxxxxx Stadium” will sound horrible and soulless whoever it might be.So ‘Susan’ has now gone for good?
Can’t believe that we will turn down opportunities for big bucks from a big company for naming rights. I thought the stands would be named after people/players that had achieved legendary status at the club.
This is a rare occasion when it should talk - it's Mr. Benham's money, after all.money talks - sooner or later.
Agree, it would be the ideal name, but it's Asahi dosh now.I want Fullers dosh and The London Pride Stadium
Fullers (pub operator) aren't big/wealthy enough compared with other possible sponsors, while Asahi (London Pride brewer) are, but would likely want the "Asahi" name on it, or some of the bigger brands they own eg Peroni, Grolsch, Pilsner Urquell etc.I want Fullers dosh and The London Pride Stadium
Can still be The London Pride StadiumAgree, it would be the ideal name, but it's Asahi dosh now.

I know, that's why I said ideal name, just meant that it wouldn't be Fullers making the decision, or paying for it.Can still be The London Pride Stadium
More I think about the better BCS seems. Our name and our community spirit bound into one. Call it Asahi or the name of a middle-eastern airline and I’ll never go.Keep the name as it is and get our marketing whizz kids to contact any company whose name is in Brentford Community Stadium eg Ford cars, Brent Council, Comm Bank, Unity Technologies, Stadi-Helsinki tourist board and get them to pay oodles of cash for the privilege.
Same. I think it fits us now and the whole media narrative about us worked so positively. I wonder whether like Huddersfield’s shirt sponsor getting extra coverage from not having their name on the shirts we might be able to persuade a stadium sponsor to keep their name off the ground.Used to think the Community Stadium name was a bit sh*t but am now all for it after seeing fans back, the images from Friday, understanding the importance of community after a pandemic etc.
Life of Brian, mateI like the idea Hampton are doing of bidding to name the stadium. If I win I'll name it Bigus Dickus from Carry on Cleo
You need to provide a link if you want it checked-outAnyone interested in naming rights and BCS might want to check out a little piece I've written for the upcoming Beesotted fanzine. A true and untold story...
Of course!Life of Brian, mate
Fair enough, your choice.More I think about the better BCS seems. Our name and our community spirit bound into one. Call it Asahi or the name of a middle-eastern airline and I’ll never go.
Fair enough, your choice.
But I wouldn't like to be the one to tell Mr. Benham that he shouldn't accept, say, £10m over the next 4 or 5 years for the naming rights, after all the money he's ploughed into the stadium.
Its a sad world where someone can dislike a post favouring naming our stadium by OUR name and and heralding that our club supports its community.More I think about the better BCS seems. Maybe they disliked the post because you said you would never go?Its a sad world where someone can dislike a post favouring naming our stadium by OUR name and and heralding that our club supports its community.
From this year Readings ground is now called the Select Car Leasing Stadium. Well catchy! Hope we get something better than that for Susan.
I find the pitch of their steps very steep. Feel a bit dizzy looking down!Jeez, that is dreadful .... but then so is the stadium, particularly its location!!
You’re right but I think a lot of commentators have played up the community element of the name in their narrative of the club, its tight knit and local support (linking also to “bus stop in Hounslow”) and being far removed from the corporate blandness of the PL. of course that’s not entirely accurate but it is positive and has helped in us making an identity for ourselves.Whilst I appreciate that Brentford Community Stadium is a holding name, isn't something of a misnomer? In what way is it a community stadium? IIRC the orginal plans many moons ago included regular use by schools and the like, and I think the lesiure centre was going to become part of the complex. But the stadium and the world has changed since then and I think the Community part of the name is misleading.
Yes I know we have a strong Football in the Community programme, but we are not unique in that.
While we are still waiting for a sponsor why not rename it to the Brentford Stadium. Would sound a whole load better when it is hosting the Euros in the summer.
I quite the Dignitas Arena. Do you reckon we could get a discount, useful should QPR ever fluke a win at home against us.You’re right but I think a lot of commentators have played up the community element of the name in their narrative of the club, its tight knit and local support (linking also to “bus stop in Hounslow”) and being far removed from the corporate blandness of the PL. of course that’s not entirely accurate but it is positive and has helped in us making an identity for ourselves.
It sounded from Cliff Crown’s comments that we may not be too far from getting a stadium name sponsor so let’s just enjoy BCS as an unbranded entity while we can and before we keep on hearing it described as the Dignitas Arena and have to pretend that’s its identity.

The relocation of the Community Sport Trust to the lower floors of the East Tower, plus the development of the Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub, have rather superseded the original concept within the stadium. Nevertheless, many of the 'home location' programmes by the CST will have activities based within the shadow of the stadium (and I'd guess may utilise the stadium itself for some) and within the Gunnersbury hub, as well as it being the administration centre for all their outreach programmes, both within communities and within schools.Whilst I appreciate that Brentford Community Stadium is a holding name, isn't something of a misnomer? The name represents the engagement of BFC, centred on the stadium, and the CST within the community rather than it being purely a community facility.
There's absolutely no point in rejigging the name for semantics until someone fronts up the money to pay for it. The number of Community Club of the Year awards do position the club almost uniquely (© GP200) and we should not be afraid to be proud of it... along with our Champions of League 2 trophy, of course.Sure, but there is nothing especially unique about that arrangement when you look at other clubs. I just think the name suggests or promises something it doesnt deliver
Look we've had this out before. My wife is Susan and no way do I want 17,000 people entering her every other week. So it's a no from me. New Griffin Park will do just fine. Or maybe the Kew View stadium. Or the Kew Bridge Jam. Or the M4 flyover or.............Fullers London Pride Stadim.Whatever happened to calling it Susan...
Yep Would love Fullers to get the naming rights and call it the London Pride Stadium!. That would be great.
