The race is well and truly on: (38) Holliday - Brentford all-time record; (31) McCulloch - most Brentford goals in top two tiers; (30) Murray - the "new" Championship record. Here's how Ivan compares to the two Bees legends. Data from 100 Years of Brentford.

Overtook Ollie's final total today - he had 26 and 2.

Incredible. I would add I am not one that likes to compare Watkins with Toney. Two different players whom right now are both excelling at their respective clubs. I think I speak for many we all are happy to see Watkins doing well at Villa.

One of the main reasons I want to finish this season in the top 2 is that it should mean we retain Toney for a little longer. He told us he was capable of performing in the prem and some posters on here thought he was too much, rated himself too highly. We now know he was absolutely spot on. He will be great in the prem, I really hope that will be with us. I would say he is complete, but needs to play at a higher level. The only comparison between him and Ollie is that they are both good players, but for me Toney is more of a natural where Ollie has had to work extremely hard to develop his game to make him what he is today. Toney is also a natural leader which is really important in team, and of course he takes a decent penalty to supplement the many goals he gets from open play.

I’m sorry folks but see no similarities between Toney and either Kane or Lewandowski in any way, shape or form. Totally different types of players but all three prolific and know where the net is.

To me, he’s a throwback to old style centre-forwards (thank the Lord). The most recent I could think of was the younger Shearer, before injuries changed him into the slower, back-to-goal model. It will be fascinating to see him in the PL as I don’t think defenders have had to deal with his type for a while.

He’s love it at West Ham. He’d be lucky to get one chance a game.
Mind you on the evidence of their use of Benrahma they would probably play him in goal.

Feel free to shout me down but we don't seem to create many chances for Toney each game he just puts the overwhelming number of chances he get into the back of the net. Was it Coventry at home when he missed a couple of sitters? I can't recall many other glaring misses since...

Feel for Michael Morrison tonight - played him as well as anyone this season and Ivan still walks off with a goal and an assist.

Does he get an assist for Josh's first one?

Slightly off topic but what is a key pass ?

What a f***ing player! Feel really bad for him that he's not able to hear the love of the fans. We need to hold on to this diamond!! Once again I feel like when Ghoddos comes on to the pitch that he helps Toney much more than the other midfielders. These two are a great link up.

I thought he chest pass for Fosu on Saturday was excellent for our first goal but his chest down for Josh tonight was exceptional. His awareness is amazing of those around him. Has there ever been a player that has been the top scorer in the championship and also has the highest number of assists?

Remember I stated on this thread before he played a game for us that I spoke to a lower league scout whom noted to me he would score loads for us and made reference to Hogan and Gray when we signed them were League 2 players and Toney was a signing from league 1.

Could he be the first player since I don’t know when to play for Brentford and England?
