James Pettifer, a lifelong Brentford fan, sadly passed away this morning aged just 31.
As a tribute, we want all Bees fans to join in with a round of applause in the 31st minute of Saturday's game with Bolton.
James used to travel up and down the country supporting the mighty Bees and this would be a great way to show our respects.

My heart goes out to James and his family. What a tragic loss. That is no age to die, with your whole life ahead of you. They are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Still in total shock, a tragic loss. He was a fantastic bloke. Absolutely loved Brentford Fc and always had a smile on his face. My heart goes out to Charlie and the rest of the family. Rip James.

RIP James, maybe worth dropping an email to the club so Peter Gilham can make an announcement ref the minutes applause.

Request to any younger Bees reading this. Is there any way we can make this 31 minute applause go viral amongst Bees fans? James was a top bloke, it would be lovely to see Griffin Park respect his memory in such a way. Thanks in advance if possible.

I played Cricket against James a few times for Old Actonians, a couple against Brentham and a couple of times he supported our cricket week by playing for a select XI. He always came to the bar, always was fun, always honest and always great company. Really sad news RIP James.

Yes he grew up in Hanwell. An absolute gem who had the bees in his blood. He had time for everyone was always smiling. He even got his dad who was a Spurs fan to watch us regularly! Truly devasted about the news and will be sorely missed. Wish there was more of ur kind James. Let's hope u can sing with is in May on our way to the Premier League. rest in peace James I will always remember the time you had for everyone and your banter in the Pig and the Nelson. X

Really sad news . 31 is just no age. Certainly puts everything into perspective and can only offer condolences to his family and friends.

All set to go on the 31st minute and momentum seems to be building on this

Terribly sad news but great idea and hope the club can notify and remind everyone today.
Any chance a photo as not someone I know by name but sure I'd recognise please?
God bless James

Lovely tributes from his pupils must make James parents so proud

He was such a fantastic lad, he is going to leave a massive hole at Brentham cc where he was due to be playing for us today at Uxbridge. All three of our matches are cancelled as a mark of respect and at the request of his family.

8 of us from the club spent such a fantastic day together at Fulham, and this was the last match that James saw the Bees play.

He was a Hanwell boy living in Studley Grange and Green Lane where his parents still are and two brothers.

His Grandad Dish ran Hanwell Celtic for years, were an inspiration for Paul Canonville and an Ealing CC keeping legend.

James helpedMary Farley for years at BFC and could not do enough for anyone.

There will be a gathering at Brentham CC today after the Bees match and everyone that knew him is welcome.

If you need to know more then I am working in Sponsors Lounge as usual today from midday. Ask for Mark.

RIP James
