Be realistic please...you do know he is out for a year injured right?
Just a point that half the clue is being ignored.
We did buy an injured Rico Henry, the report in may for Ezes ankle was 6 months. anyway banana says no guesses correct😄

He went for 20m why would they sell him to us after he had a good season until he got injured? Zero chance - next guess 👍

Max Bird would be an interesting one. Shown potential, Derby need the money, but wouldn’t go into the first XI you wouldn’t think and the DoFs said they were looking more for a couple of quality additions rather than bulking out the squad.

From a quick Google through the Nantes squad, as jBee said we’ve been linked with Muani before. They’ve also got a tricky winger called Ludovic Blas who sounds right up our street - 2nd in the league for dribbles last year behind Doku, despite Nantes finishing 17th, only 23.
Muani has a year left on his contract and Nantes just escaped relegation on away goals in the P.O. The first more likely they would sell, the second less?

Do we really have to work out clues just to unlock rumours these days? This is going to be a long summer.

In which case, Bradford City also have a yellow kit and are Bantams. I'm excited by Ajer, but that would be a not very easy (and naughty) clue.

Jo Swinson is a yellow bird. There must be a Swedish footballer called Svensson. Done.

Off to bed, you lot best have sorted this by the time I wake up 👍🏻😎
OK, I'm awake and seems nobody has conclusively solved it yet. I'm very disappointed in all of you! 😂

I just looked up "Hammer" on Transfermarkt and found this guy.

Oh wow. I was obviously following the Yellowhammer route but I didn't realise that Lillestrom actually plays in yellow.

Lillestrom, nickname “The Canaries” is also where Ajer completed his youth years…

Yellow bird = Budgie.

We're signing John Burridge as our back up keeper. At 69, he brings exactly the kind of experience we need.

If it’s not Onyenka, then maybe Jacob Sorensen from Norwich City given he’s Danish and they are the Canaries? They’ve just signed Gilmour in his position so maybe looking to move him on. They also played his as a left back on his debut (against us) and he did very well there.

Surprised we get a clue for a ‘50/50’ potential signing, I thought they were usually nailed on.

Is this thread for a clue about someone other than Ajer?

So Wilson is someone we've been linked with. Wilson's *Warbler* is a yellow bird.

There is also a Townsend's Warbler. Andros Townsend is a free agent.

I'm 100% convinced this is it. It fits so well.

It's possible the yellow reference may, if you excuse the colour pun, a red herring. It may be that it's just the name of the song and nothing more meaningful apart from the fact the clue was sent to Banana and banana is mentioned in the lyrics.
The clue may not be difficult but the solution certainly is.

To me, the only one that fits a couple of criteria is Randal Kolo Muani at FC Nantes. A 22-year-old winger that we were strongly linked with in January, with rumours of an 8M€ bid. We need wingers, we have a strong scouting record in France and Nantes are known as the Canaries, a yellow bird.

EDIT: He's been linked with Eintracht Frankfurt in the last few days, so he's 'in play'.

I recognised his name from the last window. A newly added vid of his clips in May, certainly shows what he is capable of

They used to take canaries down the mines, Cole dasulva? Right back I think which would make sense?

Left back Cole Dasilva recently signed for a Croatian club. After being frozen out of the B team and missing about 18 months of football, I wouldn't bank on him cancelling his contract in Croatia in order to make a return!

Jeez these showreels are irritating....same type of crap music backing track, and handpicked bits of skill to make you think the subject is the next Pele lol

If you believed the one for Samman Ghoddos he would have been banging in 30 yeard piledrivers each week

But if you cant hit a 30 yard screamer, or beat 3 on a mazy run the videos are pretty short. Some vids show the same clip from 3 angles, this one didnt do that and was crammed with clips. He has talent that’s for sure

Bertram Mills Circus pitching-up, or Mrs Mills with her honky tonk piano? (both only known to War Baby types...)

Seriously, the Norwich player?

He is 21 years old in September so I doubt he fits the criteria of the B Team.
Is that true? Surely the key criteria for B team, is a player with the potential to break into the 1st team. Is age of 21 really a barrier? Would be interesting to know.

In theory they can play who they like, 40 year olds whatever! However, it would appear that once the age of about 21 is reached they are moved on or loaned out.
