A goal kick from Harrow Borough FC
I've no idea about MB's wealth and tbh, I don't want to know. Seems wrong somehow. Having said that, that's a thought provoking post. Ultimately, where does MB want to take the Club and how does he do it? On his own or with others. Good post imo.
Numbers were run and put up on here a few years back, predicting we'd be winning everything by about AD 2200 and onwards.
Nice to know that we’re ahead of schedule....

Returning to Cajuste. It should always be noted that no transfer was ever facilitated by even the slightest involvement of ‘Bad Hans representater’.

I remember this and would want to see the video and hear the logic again. Anyone have a link?

Newcastle looking at BMuff midfielder Lemina for £8m, sounds like they are out of this one.

So where are we currently at approximately with a ‘likelihood rating’ of us signing this fella on a scale of 1-10? (1 being very unlikely and 10 being very likely)

Looks a very versatile player from the YT clips, has been described as a 6 (never) and an 8 but the quality of his touch and awareness, and deftness on the ball lends me to think he could play higher up the pitch where we will need the ball to stick more against possession based teams.

If Rennes were looking to raise further funds to boost their bid it's worth mentioning that they played Getafe in a friendly last night. They are interested in Rennes' midfielder James Lea Siliki.

"Currently, Leeds United closest to winning Jens Cajuste from Midtjylland. They offered EUR 13 million plus bonuses. Behind them they analyze the offer Crystal Palace. Newcastle are determined, but the price may put them off. Wolverhampton also wants to win the player."

I can't help but notice that we are not any of those teams.

I'm assuming here, but I'm sure someone else will be ITK, that we may have an agreement with FCM to be able to match any offer for a player and therefore take priority. If we don't value him at 13mil we may have just turned around and said 'no thanks'.

I would imagine that to be the case but not so simple, wouldn’t it also depend though on the player, whether he has a preferred location, career path, salary offer, or agents brown envelope to consider.

Indeed we are not, and we may not be in for him anymore...

Oh well. Wouldn't be too upset. Seems a great prospect but v similar to Onyeka. Would prefer we targeted someone a little more creative.. though, Leeds..??

There is always a player and his agent involved, so despite MB's majority shareholding, once a player is available for transfer the game is afoot and there will be other suitors able to offer bigger wages and possibly appear as better options.

Or it could be we were never interested in first place but a tad like ww2 espionage tactics to throw opposition off on a wrong scent we let out in world in a most obtuse manner a player we are looking at (in fact close to signing) so would attract huge attention and have teams outbidding one another for the player and hence ensure FCM receives a significantly over market value! Such is the reputation we have as regards unearthing gems.

In other words, the clue should have been harder 😂

Totally agree with the above. If the agent has flushed out bids from more established Prem clubs, anything can happen. The player may prefer a safer bet and wages can also be an issue.
Our best chance may be game time for a player who would surely be behind Phillips at Leeds. Can’t see us spending that kind of money on the bench, even if it meant he would play RWB more than midfield to begin with.

MB wouldn't have put the clue up if we weren't interested. Banana called this a 50:50 once player named.
