Seems to be to Wales U21 what Gareth Bale is to Wales seniors vs Moldova right now, he seems to be involved in everything.

I've always been surprised he doesn't seem to have even trained with the first team much, particularly when we were short of wide players. He's got a lot about him, real eye for a pass, decent cross and a great shot. Works his arse off too.. A lot of other players seem to have done and made the bench as well but he doesn't seem to have been able to make that step?

All true and he hasn't to my memory even been a "bolster the numbers" B teamer involved in a first team pre-season training camp.

Yeh, v odd. Seems to have a cracking attitude as well so it's a bit of a weird one. Has played as full back, wing back, winger, midfield and up front and done well in all those roles.

I want to see more of him, but I doubt the Southend game on Wednesday will have a stream (IIRC last season‘s game there didn’t)

He is a wide player (at times) I forgot about

He's got a lot of quality and has been one of the most consistent B teamers over the last couple of years. Decent loan last year too. For some reason though he never seems to have broken through into either first team training or cup squads. I think if he was going to he would have done by now..

I certainly thinks he deserves some time from the bench in the Carabao Cup

He feels to me like a bit of a Joe Hardy, in terms of, no matter what he does in the B team, he'll never get into a first team matchday squad. Can't think why, he's a Wales U21 international, is consistently one of the most effective players in the B team, has some brief senior experience and seems to be a good old skool character around the place.

I agree. There doesn't even seem to be much evidence of him even training with the first team. Shame as I think there's a lot to like about him but clearly we don't think he'll make the step up. Admittedly it is a BIG step nowadays, and whilst he had a reasonable loan, it was with a League 2 team..

I will be disappointed if he doesn’t make the bench v Oldham, he has been captain for the B team and scoring and looks overdue a few minutes for the first team. It would be very unjust if Joel Valencia steals his opportunity

Really not sure what the plan is with him. Was expecting a sale or loan. Feels like he would have had his chance by now if he was ever going to.

I think if that was going to happen it would have happened by now. Not sure why but he doesn’t seem to have even had much training with the first team. Having said that when he went out on loan if was to a league two team so that’s quite a leap..

I am so pleased for him, last season he was scoring regularly for the B team but still wasn’t joining the first team which I feel is overdue.
Would have happened by now. He seems destined for a career in football, but almost definitely not with us.

I’m not sure what it is, but he doesn’t impress me when I’ve seen him. But you certainly can’t fault his goal scoring record for the B team and for Wales. One of those odd ones where it seems certain his future will be elsewhere, but there‘ll be a little nagging doubt about whether he could have made it here.

I wasn’t thinking he was destined for the first team, but his efforts over the B season deserved a couple of weeks of training with the first team and I believe the experience of the that and to see the different level required is an invaluable experience for young players and can only be to their benefit.
