Delighted for the kid getting his goal tonight.

Has worked his socks off for little reward all season.

Thought he has looked lively in his 2 sub performances so far. Hopefully the goal will boost his confidence more.

Lot of players vying for his favoured position. If ever evidence was needed for the benefits of competition he provided in his performance over the last 35 minutes of tonights match

really pleased for him, you can see that sometimes perhaps he lacks a little confidence and that should do him the world of good. Was surprised when he came on instead of Fosu but he slotted in perfectly..

He's always impressed me with his cameos. very positive player and often makes the right call in the final third.

I was so happy to see him score

Dont think it deflected. Put so much swerve on it that the keeper went the wrong wa...

Interesting. I've watched it back a few times and still think there's a deflection. Mitre balls don't tend to move in the air either.

But either way it's a great goal and a great 3 points :sorted:

Hmm. in his interview Valencia seemed very surprised at what the ball did so not sure it was that intentional!! :D

I read a quote from Bobby Charlton once who said that if he didn’t know where the shot was going how could the goalie?

Some goal, for his first!

I'm planning on some lunchtime garden football later today with my lad... will be practicing "The Valencia" ;-)

That huge smile when he scored. I like him, just unfortunate that the level of this squad is top top.

I was thinking back to my favourite ever season, the Deano inspired division 3 title one, and compared our strength in depth now to what is was then.
I can’t imagine Tony Sealy pinging one in like that.

I thought he did what he needed to do. He tracked back, held the ball up when necessary and kept their defenders and left wing back occupied, preventing them overloading.

He is going to take time, but is improving. He just tends to have that look at present, where is seems a little anxious.

Yeah it wasn't a great cameo, gave the ball away easily a few times. I know it's hard given he's had limited game time, but I haven't seen much from him that suggests that he'll break into the first team were we to stay in the division next year. Just not sure it's been a great signing to be honest.
