possibly off on loan to Hibernian according to this tweet. Random!
Unless Joel is a massive steam train enthusiast and loathes Irn BruMaybe a better place to spend some time rather than his previous option of Crewe.
Yes but wonder how much game time he’ll get there? At least it gets him out I guessMaybe a better place to spend some time rather than his previous option of Crewe.
Well I guess that will be down to him. How he impresses in training, and how he establishes his reputation. It is at least a fresh start for him, which may be what you had meant.Yes but wonder how much game time he’ll get there? At least it gets him out I guess
His wages between now and the end of the season will be relatively small if we do have to cover part of them. Also, he’s under contract until 2023 so it may help put him in the shop window if nothing else.As long as they’re paying his wages this is a good move for all, if they aren’t it’s pretty pointless

Also, if it frees up a space in the 25 man squad for someone like Eriksen to come in then it will definitely be worth it.
That's probably the main benefit. Unlike, say, Marcus Forss, the lad clearly doesn't have a future with us, so we may as well try and maximise his resale value (which is currently next-to-nothing I suspect!)Also, he’s under contract until 2023 so it may help put him in the shop window if nothing else.
Hibs are a lovely club and give players time to develop. Probably the right standard for him too - SPL stretches roughly from League One to Championship apart from the Glasgow two so gives him a good platform to get some games and kick on.Good move for him. Nice city too!
Be nice for him to get some football regardlessAs long as they’re paying his wages this is a good move for all, if they aren’t it’s pretty pointless
And who knows we may see him rejuvenated and back again??Hibs are a lovely club and give players time to develop. Probably the right standard for him too - SPL stretches roughly from League One to Championship apart from the Glasgow two so gives him a good platform to get some games and kick on.

The main disappointment with Valencia as a wide player was that he showed neither the ability, nor even the desire to go round people.I hope he's been in the weight room during his long layoff, as it won't be any picnic being kicked all over the place up there, unless the standard is such he can use his pace and trickery to get round them. Seems to be a failing common to our B team players who go out on loan.
I thought I read on here once upon a time that his fee was actually surprisingly large?Think this was a free hit signing - relatively low fee
1.8m I think - not chickenfeed but equally not a huge issue if we don't recoup it all back when he is soldI thought I read on here once upon a time that his fee was actually surprisingly large?
Alright, apart from the CCS...
That sounds more plausible..According to reliable Lyall, he's off to Spanish side Alcorcoran for 6 months.
Adios Valencia ☝

Would be a very huge issue if it was my 1.8 million!1.8m I think - not chickenfeed but equally not a huge issue if we don't recoup it all back when he is sold
Relative to the recently released accounts. We were still down a few million after Tax but not to worry Matthew picked up the tab again. It's all relative - we guaranteed ourselves 170m on the result of one game![]()

I can assure you that it is not a loss making business either, and those that follow that route end up in the same position as Derby and Macclesfield. Football history is littered with examples of how the once mighty fell after following the philosophy of non profit. If you do not make a profit then you make a loss!Football isn't a profit making businessthere is a reason for FFP

Weather wise perhaps, but Crewe are undoubtedly the bigger club - pre Covid Alcorcan averaged crowds of 2,800 in a 5,000 capacity ground.Beats Crewe!
