Had to laugh at the weekend when he went over to applaud the City fans and all he got was a mouthful of abuse

This only a wee while after he said the Man City board and players had let the fans down... (which they have)

He desperately wants to get out of Man City doesn't he...? Trying his hardest. Unfortunately he'll probably end up at a half decent club when he leaves as he's a half decent player.

Joey Barton is responsible for his own actions, no-one else is to blame :nono:

I think only one of the boys grew up with his dad, with the family more or less split in 2.

Anyway, I'm fairly sure that Joey has been an equal opportunities thug, attacking people of any race, creed or colour

He is just a thug from bad stock.

He is no more than an OK premiership player, not international class.

Throw the book at him, he will never learn, they never do this animals!

The Sunday Times reported today that the deal on his move to Newcastle has not yet been finalised as Barton wants his £300,000 "loyalty bonus" as he did not actually ask for a move. Newcastle are reluctant to pay this on behalf of City on top of tripling his salary, he will make £15,000,000 on a 5 year contract from them already.

This is why all the extra Sky Money will be p****ed away on average players by just paying them more, far more than they are worth.

West Ham are also spending money on wages like there is no tomorrow...50k a week seems to be their minimum wage!!

Who lets him talk to the media? They must love it, knowing that he's giving an interview which will make the headlines whilst he's sitting on his ever-shrinking brain.

He does seem like a bit of a ****, but I agreed with his view about the English players writing / publishing autobiographies. :sorted:

This guy is obviously a Grade A Scumbag, that needs to be locked away and transferred to Oldham with that other dodgy scum bag.

He was a hero when he scored that last minute penalty winner at Fucham.

Not that I am one to defend him but remanding him in custody seems a tad harsh for common assault and affray, there seems to have been provocation.

Assume the magistrate was a Sunderland supporter...!

I guess they may have thought he may have attempted to pay the guy hush money and the charges would have been dropped or the trial would have collapsed

I think the problem is that he is already on bail, so appears to have breached the terms of the original bail. Magistrates tend to take a dim view of this kind of behaviour.

If he's already on bail for something else then it's unsurprising Mr Barton is spending New Year's Day in the nick.

And so they should. Scum like this need to be locked away so decent law abiding citizens can walk the streets. No more excuses.

You should see what they have on him with cctv. Running around the street starting on random people plus punching a bloke several times who they got in an argument with at MacDonalds. He already has an oustanding case to answer for.

The interview he had on tv a few months back showed he took no responsibility for his actions and blamed other people for making comments at him.

Barton always seems to blame others and never take responsibility, there is a mental disorder for this type of behaviour

If he was already on bail for another matter then he did not have the right to bail that someone would have if they were not already on bail.

Still fair play to the Court for making that decision on such a high profile individual :sorted:
