Did Tyrick Mitchell and Chris Mepham come from the academy and they both played in the Premiership?
The B team set up is far better for us as a club and the fact that majority from the academy didn't make it is inductive of that but at least 2 of them stepped up.

We signed Chris Mepham at 15. He’s not part of the shiny tracksuit brigade for me.
Well done to Tyrick but we would have got hardly anything in compensation for him given he would have been inevitably poached before signing a scholarship with us.

When he came on for Man U U23 against our B team couple of years ago, I wasn't overly struck by him. Trouble is so many young players that age just don't make it whether it is physical development, mental development, being a teenager being a distraction etc
I think that's one of the advantages of our B team, they play League 1 and 2 sides who are physical, which helps them develop physically. Whereas in Premier League u23 they play teenagers and don't develop physically and then few make it pro.
I assume he is just trying to keep himself fit and playing, considering there were rumours of League 2 clubs wanting to sign him. After all, he can't be scouted by bigger clubs if he isn't playing

It was group think and greedy agents that got him a move to City from us. I doubt much was paid attention to his statistical analysis.
You can argue his compensation fee was correct given how it’s turned out.

Leatherhead have just got a new manager and made a couple of signings yesterday. Firmly at the bottom of the isthmian prem and 8 points from safety. Is the great escape now on perhaps?

I agree to some extent ….but at the same time he had the opportunity to go to united and he had to take that chance it may have worked for him…otherwise he would have been forever asking himself ‘what if’
