Excellent news. He really needed that first year of improving his fitness and condition. Showing the benefit now. Great player who is going to get better.

Is Josh the first Bees player to score for an England team in a competative match ? I remember Nicky Forster played a couple but not sure if he scored.
Forster did score for u-21’s.

Also, Leslie Smith for England in wartime internationals. Plus J C Burns, A H Gibbons and Maurice Edelstone for England Amateurs.

I did look it up on Wiki and saw Nicky Forster played but didn't record goals scored. Yes Leslie Snith did score a couple in war time matches but theg wouldn't count as competative.

Noticed on very brief highlights he got a knock and limped around a bit for a while. Was later subbed. Hope he's ok for Saturday.
oh god, don’t say that......(checks SkyBet, Cov @ 9/2)

It feels like it's dawning on him that almost none of the Championship midfielders he's coming up against can stop him gliding past them effortlessly and we are going to see him jump from being very good to being THE dominant midfielder in the league.

An example of the difference in quality between the two sides today. They couldn’t get near him.

So powerful running forward with the ball. Hardly ever gets knocked off or tackled now.

When he first joined us you thought, wow, he's a big lad, but he was often easily brushed off the ball. That's all changed now, he's like a battering ram! Possibly not his best game for us today though but that's only because he's now set his standards very high this season.. So glad we've got him signed up with a new deal.. Quality

Pure class. Hybrid of Patrick Vieira and Gunter Netzer. Power, directness, acceleration, pace and grace.
