If he’s fit, he should take his chance. We’re not a philanthropic institution. The reports about him last May were that he could maybe make a return last September, so we’re definitely not rushing him.

We’re talking about a young man here, with hopefully a good few years of his career left, possibly if he is as good as he was, at PL level. A short term view is not in his or the club’s best interests

He has had an injury to his hip, and had resurfacing possibly (similar to A.Murray) I don't think we have had any player with a similar injury,
so very difficult to gauge what will occur when training ramps up.

I suspect he won't for a very long time (as said above, remember how long it took for the 'old Sergi' to return to form). People need to be patient as he returns to match fitness and match toughness after so long out.
But if we can get that magical 40 points by March-ish I'm all for the rest of the season being preseason-before-preseason for the next campaign.

Great news but still wary that he has been out for a long time so will be a few weeks until he makes the squad and longer to hopefully get back to the level he was at pre-injury. Would be like a new big money signing in January and look forward to see him pulling on the shirt again.

Favourite player of the past few seasons , absolute baller and arguably the one most ready for the Prem ! BUT as others have said we need to give him time and patience to get up to speed . Probably won’t see the best of him till next season but the wait will be worth it I’m sure !!

Thomas Frank in his interviews today said that their current plan is to have Dasilva back in 5-6 weeks, give him a proper 'preseason' schedule to build himself up and then have him join the club when he is ready to go. Very exciting!

Can't wait for JDS to be back. This kind of table (for all non 'big 6'/'superleague' teams) backs up what we've all been seeing all season - our players rarely attempt to take on their man. And it's stifling our ability to create chances from open play, because we're not breaking the lines. No player even makes the list...

Nothing wrong at all with showing the man love.
I suspect the trick will be to manage expectations as it’ll take JDS time to be fully match fit. Saying that, I’ve always had him down as a PL player in the making and he’s got the capability to make a real difference in the last dozen games or so.
