Just been emailing Shane at Kew Cricket Club (CC), he is their bar manager.

He's provided me with some good information for pre match whistle whetting!

Opening Times
Mon - Fri - 4pm
Sat - Noon
Sun - Noon

These times will run in line with our fixtures once the cricket season has finished at the end of September.

Apparently it's £20 to become a social member, more information HERE. So that could be an option if you're going to attend regularly!

My dad played football and cricket at Kew for donkeys years so might try to persuade him to venture in before the next game he attends and see if anyone recognises him after all these years - good to know.

As I said in another thread. Highly likely will become my drinking spot. As my walk from nans house/carpark spot takes me past it. Seems like a decent enough choice!

Never paid to get in and beer was less than a fiver i am sure

I went there last year when they reopened after lockdown.

We sat on the green and ordered from an outside Bar. Members had access to the Pavilion area/ and the Bar inside.

Outside there was a large screen showing football (Leicester - i think). Although, it was such a bright day that you could not really see it from the green. But everything else was really good.

Does the £20 membership fee apply only to playing (cricket) members?

What’s the bar like?

You don't HAVE to join as far as I can make out, but players pay significantly more.

To be fair, if the beer is decent, they do the odd BBQ and its cheap, then I'd be quite happy to pay.

Think I'll join next week too! Could be a nice little link between the fans and CC.

Not that I'm saying it's not 'nice' to join as a Social Member, to support Kew CC, but it doesn't seem to afford any benefits that I can see over not joining..........
i.e. You can still drink in there if you're not a member.........
Unless I've missed something........

My reason for joining is I guess at some point it is going to be too busy and become members only.

I may well be wrong here but the website seemed to imply that inside the clubhouse was more for members only. It also seems nice to have a 'home bar' to go to before (and possibly after games). I love the Inverness but it doesn't really work for our journey now as it's so much easier to park south of the river for us. Plus all my family come from North Sheen and Mum tells me Dad had a couple of run outs (probably literally) for Kew CC back in the day..

Yes we went yesterday. Their game was indeed rained off. Got there about 3.30 and stayed for an hour. Atlantic Pale £4.60 a pint. Quiet but a few other Bees there. Cricket was on TV (unsurprisingly). Friendly staff. No requirement to be a member as far as I could see. Chap count low! No food that I could see. Sat in the sun looking out on Kew Green. Will go again..

2 pints of pride for me at £4.60 a pint. Friendly lady behind the bar and I asked about membership, not required. A good spot. Toilets reminded me of Sunday league football with the showers in there too.

Bit pricier than the Invo, but better location. Will try and give it a go Friday if weather good.
