Didn't try it yesterday as traffic up from Somerset was a nightmare didn't get the time. But using the train on Friday, and arrive at KB at 6pm so definitely walk over the bridge and try it out for a pint!

Not that I'm saying it's not 'nice' to join as a Social Member, to support Kew CC, but it doesn't seem to afford any benefits that I can see over not joining..........
i.e. You can still drink in there if you're not a member.........
Unless I've missed something........
I think giving our local cricket club some support has merit. Since I was a child I’ve watched matches there and they deserve our backing.

I agree; I have just filled in a social membership form and look forward to having a pint or two there before home games.

I assume there will be a request for the £20 membership, or do I just pay it and assume I am accepted as a member. The bank details are on their website.

You have to pay it into their bank with social and your name as reference, the instructions are there.

That's what I wondered. Filled form out twice but heard nothing back. Not very good with all this money online stuff and didn't see any form to do that bit

I played at Kew CC (not for Kew) four or five times during the sixties, It was always good fun to see if one could hit one of the cars around the green. I only managed it twice but both times it was very satisfying.

I better start getting used to prices again!!!
Jeez £4.60 a pint and here I am paying €20 for 24 cans of Bow or €3 a pint in a bar (including tapas)...... Never forget the pub in Rovrum.....£1.97 a pint, asked why not just make it £2, old girl said "all the pennies count" 😃

Just an off chance, but if you join the cricket club for before & after drinks, is there a car park available for members,

Haven't a clue how to do that
Open your online Bank Account, Go to Transfer (or something similar, depending on your Bank) transfer £20 to sort code 20-72-33 (you don't even have to name the bank you are paying the money to, the sort code does that) Account No 60540374, There will be a box for reference, just type in "Social" Followed by your name, press send, All Done, Simples!!

You would already have emailed them your form, they put that and your £20 payment together, you are now a member, The £20 is more or less a donation to support the cricket club because at the moment you don't have to be a member to have a drink there, But I was told by a member that if it gets over popular with Bees fans and others they might have to make Membership a condition of entry due to it's size (something to do with elf and safety) Don't know how true that is, only Quoting member, But it's worth getting in first just in case.

Nice friendly people in there as well.

They'll be opening on days we play at home.
Taken from Kew Cricket Website

Kew CC is not just for those who play cricket.

"There is plenty of room for those that just wish to enjoy its atmosphere.
As a social member, you will have full access to the pavilion any time it is open, throughout the year. All for just £20!
For more information, please download the membership form or drop into the club and use the QR code on display".

Perhaps a phone call to the club Secretary & Bar Manager as listed on their Website to enquire about opening times and months

I've already spoken to Shane, he's the one that informed me they were opening for home match days post-cricket season.

Had a pint in there about an hour ago. Apart from a family sitting outside, I was the only customer. Pride on keg instead of hand pump ( for interested bitter drinkers). Had a Guinness instead. The bloke behind the bar confirmed that Bees fans are welcome and there’s no need to buy a membership. He also mentioned that The Botanist is similarly welcoming.

Anyone heard back yet? Completed the form on the website and made the payment. Would have expected to at least get a confirmation of receipt from completing the online application.

It's interesting that Oldham fans are posting "45% of gate, what is that?" etc. etc.
We don't even have to concern ourselves with that anymore.
How times have changed...

Very good turnout at Kew CC yesterday and good entertainment watching a batsman throw a huge strop when he was given out, chucking his bat all over the place. Chap who runs it very happy with how it will help the club. Bit of a queue for drinks until an extra barman appeared.

Yep!!!
Highly amusing reaction to a dodgy LBW decision!!! 😂😂 Hit the batsman on the elbow I think!!!
Standard of cricket was “interesting”……..😃
Presume that might be last chance we get to see a game in progress there this season? Unless they have a late season one on the day of the Liverpool game…..

Couldn't help but notice how several of the fielders tried to stop the ball with their foot rather than bend down to pick it up.

I'm guessing it was a 3rd (or 4th??!!!) XI game....

If you're a Richmond resident you can use a visitors parking permit or at least give one to someone you know if they need it.

He is Hounslow and twenty quid better off thanks to his wonderful council

After game sat outside , much fun watching and a bit of banter with a fielder who wasn't great
he came and shook hands after so top marks.

I love it there , be interesting to see if a viable option in Winter.

Me and a few pals met up there for a pre match beer on Saturday.
Our giant Brentford "Jack" was creating a lot of interest for motorists
and pedestrians as they went past. I even brought the dog along.
We were joined by a mate from Cornwall and a relative from Edinburgh,
both had travelled to the game that morning. The one from Edinburgh
got the the Cricket Club before me!!

Spoke to the barmaid and she said they will definitely be open for Bees matches throughout the winter 👍.
