The K's are in the play offs and host AFC Hornchurch tomorrow night at Kingsmeadow in a 1 legged semi final.

If Chelsea vs Althetico Madrid doesnt tickle your pickle get down and support the hooped Brazil.

Would have liked to have seen Dulwich Hamlet go up from that division, missed out on the playoffs by one point. Great vocal support they have over at Champion Hill.

Yes I saw them play K's earlier in the year and they were still singing in the ground 20 minutes after the final whistle.

Scrappy game with lots of niggly injuries which really spoiled the game and probably cost K's the win. Before the "sting" went out the game in the 1st half K's were on top and had a few good chances. Hornchurch were probably the better side in the 2nd half.

Probably about 10 Bees in attendance and also Murray Jones.

Shame really, has he got a better job elsewhere?

He felt he has taken them as far as he can. 2nd in the Ryman League was a massive over achievement this year.

As a result of the proposed purchase of Kingsmeadow by Chelsea http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/spor...elsea-verge-agreement-afc-wimbledons-10052752 K's supporters have launched a petition.

Taken from the K's messageboard: "A couple of us have put a petition to Kingston Council together. It's nothing earth-shattering, just asking them to ensure our future, the covenant, and our position in the borough, if we get 500 signatures, it will be debated at a council meeting."

You can sign here:

According to K's they have been given a VERY GENEROUS deal by Afc Wimbledon

http://www.kingstonguardian.co.uk/s...ng_for_fresh_start_with_fantastic_Dons_offer/

Kingstonian co-chairman Mark Anderson as revealed AFC Wimbledon’s proposed move to Merton will result in a cash windfall that will preserve his club’s future for 20-years and beyond.

The move would make Ks homeless, but part of the deal would see a ‘signifcant’ cash sum handed to Ks by the Dons – on top of their contractual requirements – to assist them in finding or building a new base.

We have been paying for the sins of the past for 15 years. Becoming a fan-owned club would be a fresh start,” said Anderson.

“AFC Wimbledon have put on the table a significant amount of money to aid our move to a new ground.

“To give you an idea, when I left university, I thought £2,000 was a significant amount of money. My business turns over £12million and I think that is a significant amount of money.

“It is a terrific amount of money being offered and an ideal opportunity to secure the financial future of the club for the next 20 years.

The Dons have restored my faith in human nature. They are not obliged to make that money available to us, but they are looking at the bigger picture.”

The trio have also confirmed Kingstonian will have to ground-share as they find a new permanent home, with Corinthian Casuals, Met Police and Hampton & Richmond Borough thought to be on the list of targets.

Afc fans on the way home from Carlisle, whilst we were on our way back from Burnley this season said that afc were committed to helping K's. K's as a club seem happy with the Chelsea deal, not sure the K's fans are quite so happy.

Announcement to be made soon. K's got a great win in the Trophy last night, they face Truro City at home in the next round.

Unfortunately that article makes no reference to the fact that when AFC Wimbledon were homeless, Kingstonian helped them out and let them play at Kingsmeadow free of charge.

AFC Wimbledon now, not only own Kingsmeadow, they charge Kingstonian rent, and are now making Kingstonian homeless.

AFC Wimbledon are a scum club.

Weren't kingstonian going under had afcw not bought the ground from them ? And were they initially allowed to play there for free ?

I think the real 'scum' are the Khoslas and to a degree Kingston Council. Closely followed by the K's board pre Khosla who ran the club into the ground and then Franchise 2 who took advantage of the whole sorry state of affairs. Very sad really

Nope as they didn't receive any money from the Ground sale it went straight to the Kosla's, so that made no difference to their financial affairs.

Quite right.

I always understood that had AFCW not put up the money to buy the lease from the Khoslas, K's would not have been able to carry on playing in the stadium. Indeed they might have folded completely.

Meanwhile, the latest statements from Kingstonian's Board have paid generous tribute to the help and co-operation AFCW have been giving them in their present difficulties.

K's owners are happy with the payoff - not convinced it will be reiinvested into the team or a future ground. The only hope for K's, as far as I can see, was a plan for a new ground in Chessington, funded by building housing on green belt. The deal, which also included a leisure centre and swiming pool, was dismissed by local councillors and Residents' Associations.

Hampton I think is the favourite. Which considering most K's fans I know are Beaver haters, I don't think that will go down well.

No time for 'A Farcical Club' Wimbledon. For other reasons that we've been over before :)

Is that because they are revamping a crusty stadium that can't wash its face financially??

They've ground shared there before.

What about sharing with the Corinthian Casuals ??

At least ground is in Kingston

Ks only get 350 nowadays so size wont be a problem

Since it is a King George V ground, there may be covenants preserving it for community/amateur use, rather than professional/semi-professional football.

Dunno what the capacity at Casuals is, but if K's have any long term ambition to get back where they've been previously, shouldn't they be thinking higher than that?
