Make no mistake, this is an absolutely stonking signing! Really shows we mean business and that we can sell the club at this level. 2 top quality 23 year olds who have a load of development left in them. We're definitely going about things the right way.... Exciting stuff!

Very encouraged by Celtic fans opinion on him.

Quote from ‘TalkCeltic’ when VVD went to Southampton:

“he will never be worth 30m, maybe some mug club down there will spend 20m on him, European clubs in leagues which are not house of cards stuff wouldnt pay more than what we are getting for him now

defensively he is not great and that side of his game will get found out down there”

Sound familiar?

Have we ever broken our transfer record twice on consecutive days before? Even in the same window?
Brilliant signing btw. Delighted with this

The shear volume of Celtic fans falling over themselves to tell us how sh*te he is tells me we've got a winner here.....

Same window, yes, I believe.

Norgaard, Jensen, Raya and Pinnock was followed by Mbeumo.

If he is 6’6 then I expect there will be a lot of Kris Cross Jump Jump…. No doubt he will be the Mac Daddy for us

I wasn’t aware this was a ‘thing’! Ultimately, like all records, only the latest mark really counts.
Ajerannounced, might be more useful to say how Ajerpronounced? Particularly if it was being mangled in and by Glasgeens. As long as it’s not an Alan Partridge.
Was he hungry when he signed? It sounded like an empty stomach accompanied by rattling utensils. He’ll need to gradually be reintroduced to vegetables, of course...

if we play 3 CBs then our back line is going to be HUGE. you'd really expect us to dominate for defensive set pieces.

Just a neighbourly reminder that, on this day in 1298, The Battle of Falkirk saw the defeat of William Wallace by Edward I, with part of Edward’s army led by Bishop Bek of Durham. After the impetuous English knights had charged the Scots and been killed by Scottish spearmen, Bek brought up the archers who found the Scots easy targets.

Why didn't he bring the archers up first? Poor first half tactics. Is this an analogy for how we approach each half in the EPL or is it just off topic?

From Ted Knutson's tweet: "Celtic put him in the weight room + moved him to CB."

More specifically, it was Brendan Rodgers who was responsible, if this comment by a Kilmarnock fan is correct:

"A designated loan deal for us at Killie as BR wanted to make him into a centre back. The stipulation was he had to be played in that position.. That was understandable, as he had the stature and athleticism to fulfill that requirement in the modern game. Possibly he should have moved earlier to a higher level in the game, There is no doubt in the short time we had him at Killie, his performances had that element of class. Good luck to him"
Kris Ajer posts heartfelt message with special mention to John Kennedy after sealing Celtic exit

Oooh, get her.

‘Former Celtic player and Sky Sports pundit Davie Provan‘ should probably be more worried about how his club got absolutely violated by QPR 6-2 yesterday

Do other players go past players the way he does? He seems to regularly go pst players with the ball nearest them. Seems quite unusual.

Are you saying our £13m man doesn’t fit in to the system?!

More likely he has a knock and no point risking him.
I dont think we will play 433 in the P/L. No point him playing in a 433 and denting his confidence. To me the starting back 4 seems to be a test for Roerslev, Goode & Thompson to see how they cope in a 4. Ethan being the reliable rock

Those watching may well correct me

I think you're over thinking this a bit. He's not even on the bench so more than likely has picked up a knock in training

If he's not even on the bench I'd guess an injury (hopefully just a knock). Post match comments from Thomas should help...

I think we will play 4-3-3 at times.

Thomas said in the post match interview that his ITC hadnt come through . He's come from Scotland ?
Celtic are under the Scottish FA so needs international clearance to play under a new FA. Shocked it's taken this long though but it's all paper work and red tape I guess.

Doesn't seem to be In today's photos from training, unlike most of the others not involved in last night's game...
