The gap between Toney and the midfield is the issue.

Scored against the run of play.
Should’ve scored a second via EM.

Reminds me of the Swansea game except that QPR aren’t as good. We have a real problem getting through any kind of midfield press at the moment. Both teams are relying on opposition mistakes to get chances.

Their goal was one I can take. I don’t mind Henry committing forward now and then as at the moment it is one of the few ways we can get out of our own half, even if Dalsgaard was outpaced with concerning ease by Dykes. I think we will need Jensen for this one, hopefully early in the half.

Great finish by Janelt, Mbeumo playing much better, their defence isn’t great and we do look like scoring again. I’ll take those positives. We need to watch their counterattacks.

Back 4 have been ok but up against it, We had three players running back into our area tow looking to cut out the cross, all HD has to do is stay with his player but he just ignores him and he runs behind him for a tap in.

qpr are good up front but they seem to have 3-4 players unmarked across the middle.

Playing counter attack is fine If your two wingers can beat a player or make a cheeky pass but when all they do is lose it or get brushed off the ball it just comes back again and again.

BM had one or two decent runs but other than that has been a total nightmare again. Poor control, bottling out of 50/50’s, won’t head it, can’t cross it, can’t pass it, can’t beat a man and can’t shoot anymore.

Fosu is a energetic kid who always seems to be the wrong side of the ball amd gets brushed off so easily, you never feel he is going to drop a shoulder and go past a player.

Janelt is doing OK, JDS trying to create stuff but he is all on his own.

TF needs to be brave at half time because if we leave this until 65 minutes we lose this game,

Janelt is absolute class. Great ball for Mbeumo in injury time whose first touch lets him down. Winnable but we need to change Sorenson and possibly Marcondes if Jensen has the legs.

I agree with sorenson purely because I think these next 15 minutes with his team in changing room, he will probably be told he made a huge mistake and could look to rectify with his next foul.
Shouldn't be like that but you could maybe see it happening.

Look, guys (and any gal who may be on here!), we cannot be as good as we were last season because of the changes. Toney is certainly as good as Ollie was at this time last season, but Benrahma has not been replaced (skill-wise), Mbeumo is a shadow of his former self, as is Henrik. Until we sort out that right side, we will struggle. We no longer pull teams all over the pitch because of these weaknesses and because of that Toney does not get the freedom that Ollie did. Oh, and Marcondes, bless him, has only ever been a hard tryer; think Eddie Hutch.

Thought Mbeumo has looked dangerous.
We miss Jensen dictating play but that’s where new subs rule comes into play

Rico and Fosu need to stop giving the ball away and then having to sprint back 50 yards to catch BOS. If he’s running at Mads Bech 2nd half it’s got a 2nd yellow all over it.

However, if you didn't see any of the positive things he did I can only assume your mind is fixed and eyes closed. The brilliant crossfield ball to Fosu which created the first chance and his role in the build up to the goal were two thinsgs you must have seen. A lot of the other link up play perhaps not if you weren't looking but my feeling was his display and an improved effort from Bryan were positives fro the half.

I think it's an improved performance from recent games.Bryan looks more dangerous.Everyone else fairly neat. Defensively getting caught out by pace on the break and think Josh wasted in the quarterback role.QPR unfortunately are better than usual.

I think Marcondes is playing well, should have placed his chance to the left to make it 2-0 but is causing problems with his movement up front (note how he was following up Janelt’s strike) and getting back to defend well. I’m not sure why JDS is playing so deep, possibly to add to Henrik and Bryan on the right as we’re targeting their LB who looks shaky and ought to have had a second yellow, but i don’t think it’s working and he’d be better higher up than Janelt.
Hope Pontus on at HT for MBS to avoid us going down to 10 and to let Ethan go and support on left.
